Believe the terrible reviews. Doesn't give eye contact, brusque, couldn't answer even basic questions.

I had an injection a month ago with Bial (L5/S1) that was extraordinarily painful when she jammed the steroid in. She could have at least given me a warning, but did not. The real confirmation of her lack of care came when I had a second injection yesterday that hardly hurt at all. Dr. Goel told me it was going to hurt a bit, but that he was going to go slowly - it worked! The only explanation I can think of is that Bial was in a hurry and made me, her patient, pay the price.

How does a person like this stay employed?

Hurt back restraining a violent resident at work she gave me 3 diff. Cortisone shots with no improvement never offered to try anything else thought I could return to old job I switched to nspm in Beverly and can never work again back is. Going to get worse I have to keep having diff procedures just to function at all. She was rude,I felt like I was bothering her if you have appt with her good luck never had a doctor like her

Her distain for people in general is apparent. Just plain mean.

Horrible woman

She has the uncanny ability to always talk down to you no matter the topic. Said that I have no issues at all other than an impinged muscle although I've been being treated for something completely different. Apparently that disappeared. Have VA paperwork in hand and says she doesn't touch it and wouldn't because I have nothing to diagnose, even though most of my days are pain and more pain doing simple tasks such as STANDING without neck support. Keep taking anti inflammatorys forever. Nothing we can do. I thought Lahey was top shelf before I started going there. Clearly I was WRONG. Lahey sucks.... Said she knew how to fix my neck after a procedure, I asked her about it and told me she never said that... I'll go somewhere closer.

Dr.bial was prepped for another procedure during my appointment time. Told me she had no time for anything and rushed off. Her assistant was no better. Tried to walk away 3 or 4 times until I just said sorry for keeping you and walked out. Not going back there

The reviews are right: one of the worst, most brusque doctors I've met (and I've met quite a few)--interrupted, presumed diagnosis before symptoms were given, lacked basic medical knowledge even an inch outside of her field (and in some cases, within it). I work in the field (which I didn't mention). Note that even though she works on back pain, she's not board certified in orthopedics or neurosurgery (only in internal medicine and physical medicine).

I have been in excuriating pain in my leg and hip. Could barely walk. She never addressed my pain, told me to go to physical therapy and have x-rays done. I told her I can not walk, told me to take Aleeve. Made an appointment with her partner for a month later. After 1 day, I sent her a message thru Lahey Chart and still have not heard from her. I will not go back to her again. She doesn't listen! I don't understand how a doctor could send a patient home who is in excoriating pain with any medicine!!
