Dr. Erica Herndon Lowery, MD

So during my pregnancy with my first baby I was nervous about choosing my doctor. DR. Lowery was there at every appointment accept 2 and her presence was great. I understand things happen so okay. But the WORSE thing that can happen is your doctor not being there for YOU!! She didn’t deliver my baby. When I was going through labor. She told me she wasn’t going to be here to deliver my baby because she works the following day. Like okay???! That’s your job you said you would be there for me. I had a stranger deliver me. I would NEVER go back to her in my future. She doesn’t stick to her word. There is no excuse just because you work the following day. Just pure laziness and no care.

I went in for my dreaded yearly exam. I was given a vest and sheet. The sheet didn't cover all of my lower half so I was sitting on the table, waiting for the doctor, with my bare butt towards the door and people kept coming in and out of the room. The doctor finally came in, didn't talk to me at all, did the PAP, no pelvic exam, and dismissed some concerns I had. She quickly rushed through the appointment and sent me on my way. I declined STD testing, they tested me anyway and now they are trying to bill me for it. I will NEVER go back there. Ugh....worst experience at they gyno I've ever had.

I feel like she treats me like a peer, not a patient. She is very personable. We are close in age, and we only three months apart in our pregnancies. So, I really felt like she understood the issues and concerns I had. I never felt talked down to.
