Dr. Erik David Lindstrom, MD

The worst! The guy is quack! Worst doctor I have ever had. By far. In fact he's not doctor, he just stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night. At least that's the impression I got. If his degree turns out to be fake I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Saw him a total of 4 times over the coarse of 3-4 months with the same primary concerns. First visit was to primarily meet him so I scheduled the visit with the very simple diagnosis of assessing a mole. He greeted me, reviewed my history and said ‘ok, we will see you at your yearly visit’. I had to remind him that I had a mole to assess (how about listen to my lungs or heart sounds???). His dress and hair were unkept but I was trying not to judge. As time went on I was conveying my signs and symptoms but he had a difficult time following and paying attention to information provided. We wasted a lot of office time (repeated visits) with me repeating myself. Acted bored sometimes and other moments easily frustrated and not engaged. He wanted to make referrals out but provided little knowledge himself. He may have seemed more knowledgeable and able to provide in depth information if he would have been more engaged with the initial signs and symptoms. When I did finally see a… specialist and returned again to see Dr Lindstom, he just read what the specialist had reported and tried to give me that ‘diagnosis’ as the gospel word. The diagnosis did not fit my signs and symptoms. I knew better (as an RN) and with my increased frustration I finally informed him that my husband is also a practicing physician (he wanted to know who my husband was but I refused to release that information to him due to Dr Lindstrom should listen to his patient’s signs and symptoms. I was also curious to see if he would treat me like I was a liar as well). A side note- Based on my signs and symptoms my husband was requesting me to ask for certain labs and tests but Lindstrom was refusing so I did finally reveal my husband is a physician and we need further testing. As if O had no credibility of my own. The fact that I lost 15 lbs in 2 months, anxious feeling sometimes, loss of appetite, shaky, fatigued, foggy, constantly thirsty and skin changes didn’t seem to register as important to him initially. Lindstrom just repeated the ENT Dx of migraines. I didn’t have migraine headaches!!! I went to a different (a wonderful) physician and finally with their assessment and listening skills were able to diagnose autoimmune induced diabetes and hyperthyroidism. Please don’t waste your time in this office. He was not attentive or knowledgeable. Appears to be filling requirements for billing insurance but not filling requirements to treat patient Illness or provide patients with respect.
