You won’t find a better orthopedic surgeon for your knees and shoulders than Dr. Stark as he has done surgery on both of my knees and one shoulder. . His bed side manner is a little rough around the edges, but I could care less as a healthy body is what I am after and he delivers!! Absolutely the best!!

Dr. Stark has performed three surgeries one me. One shoulder and one in each knee. You won’t find a better surgeon for these areas of the body than Dr. Stark.

Dr Stark & his team have provided great care. I have had two partial knee replacements with in 8 weeks, both of which I have been on my feet & out of the surgery center on the same day. I’ve been able to manage daily activity at home with minimal assistance & was able to manage stairs within a couple days post surgery, exceeding my expectations. I will be going in for rotator cuff surgery eight weeks following my last knee surgery and I’m confident that will go equally as well.

Dr Stark is amazing and I just wish I went to him first when my shoulder pain started. Unfortunately, I chose the path of convenience and went to a different orthopedist near my house who misdiagnosed my injury as an AC joint sprain and injected me with cortisone. After a couple of months of rest and rehab, my shoulder was still causing me pain. After speaking with a couple of friends who knew Dr Stark, I decided to go see him. After performing some simple tests, he ordered an MRI. It turned out I had a severely shredded labrum. Im in my 40s and still like to be active, so after discussing my options with Dr Stark, we decided surgery was the best option if I wanted to continue with my previous level of activity. Even then, I decided to seek additional opinions of other orthopedists in the area (who validated Dr Stark's diagnosis and treatment plan), and eventually decided Dr Stark was the one to fix me. He and his staff were able to schedule me in pretty quickly and… worked with my insurance (which was not easy!) to ensure I was covered. For my first post op appointment, Dr Stark explained what he did and why. I received multiple anchors to reattach the labrum but Dr Stark decided not to reattach the biceps tendon as it did not appear necessary. His exact words were "I didnt want to over operate". This made me like him even more. Fast forward 9 months, and Im back to training jiujitsu regularly, just finished up an aggressive surf trip and am able to lift my kids in the air with no pain. Dont get me wrong...the recovery sucked and the PT was demanding, but that was to be expected. If you have a shoulder injury, go see this man. Feel free to get other opinions too if you want. But, know that he will get you back to your old self and will have your best interests in mind when he does his job.

Dr Stark just did my total left knee replacement and he is a highly skilled surgeon. This is who you should trust. I am healing and doing the rehab process. Erik is to orthopedic surgery what James Patterson is to writing court room drama. Simply the very best! Happy patient Toni Watson
