This is the most patient and caring doctor that I have ever met. He is very knowledgable and knows how to talk to patients young and old. He is a very good listener and does not get offended if you have questions or need clarity. He brings a calmness that I have never experienced. I can also tell that his communication skills are top knotch through his nurses' concern and promptness. My son will be a new man. Thanks. Thumbs up Dr. Bird. :^)

Lacking in compassion and understanding how to communicate with a patient. Does not hear the patient's side. Defensive. Not going back.

My husband and I went to see Dr. Bird for a vasectomy reversal about 2 1/2 years ago. We decided to go to him because the cost was so much lower. Well you know the saying "You get what you paid for"? That is exactly what happened. When the surgery was over and Dr. Bird came and talked to me I didn't feel anymore confident that things were going to be ok than I did before we got there. All I was told was "There is no motility (speaking of sperm motility). At that time I hadn't done enough research to really know what he was talking about. After a few months of the surgery we had a semen analysis done and the results were negative. Zero sperm, zero motility, zero anything. Talk about disappointing. So we didn't really have the money to have the surgery again right away so we had to wait. Last week we went to another doctor that you could actually find real live personal patient's testimonials on his website. We decided to set up a consult with him a few weeks ago and my… husband had a second reversal this past Thursday. The surgery cost around $11,000 and it took 5 hours to complete but when the doctor was finished we were shown pictures of the surgery, pictures of the sperm found, given the number of sperm found and the motility was at 30%. It was moving in a forward direction. I wasn't told anything like that after my husbands reversal with Dr. Bird. After nearly 3 years I feel like we actually have some hope now.
