Dr. Erin Ann Loucks, MD

Dr. Loucks is so wonderful. She's very caring and funny. She knows her stuff and tries to take care of the parent as much as the child. She makes you feel at ease as a parent, regardless of how crazy you may think you are being, and she makes her patients comfortable. My 2 year old has loved her from day 1, it's quite amazing to watch how at ease he is with her. She's also a certified lactation consultant, which is especially helpful for new moms. She's been there herself, so understands the process, but also recognizes it doesn't work out for every woman or child, so she's not going to hound a woman for stopping. On the flip side, if you're determined to keep going, she'll be there for you if you are having any problems.Erin (as she often refers to herself with parents) is a wonderful doctor!

It is evident in the way Dr. Loucks interacts with my son that she has kids of her own and is very comfortable with kids. From screaming, kicking, and pooping (when he was a baby) Dr. Loucks does not shy away or ever give the impression of being judgemental. She has the perfect balance of listening to your concerns and hearing your expert opinion as a parent, and then educating you and guiding to meet a common goal. My son has some special behavioral needs and Dr. Loucks has been amazing at listening to my concerns (without dismissing them) and helping to refer me to the right people. LOVE HER!!!

we just had our first child and were told about Dr. Loucks from our OB/GYN from a different health system in Omaha (we're not mentioning names to catch her from taking flak.). Dr. Loucks is courteous, interested, and engaging. She even took time to change a messy diaper. Although we have only had 3 visits with her, we are very comfortable in our decision and would suggest her to any friends or family.

My daughter--in her short 18 months--has been to 3 different pediatricians for regular check-ups. We don't immunize until this point and I hate doctors giving me a guilt tip. Dr. Loucks was the most professional and kind woman we have had thus far. She was also the most detailed in checking my daughter. She checked ever little freckle it seemed. She was recommeded by a friend when we moved here. I had lots of worries about my daughters eating habits--she lost a pound at six months--and she wasn't drinking her whole milk at 12 months. She gave me lots of options and put my worries at ease! I will never see another pediatrician if I can help it.side note: Another one of our close friends from church is a nurse and he works at the childrens hospital. He has worked with Dr Loucks. He said wonderful things about her as well, which reaffirms my confidence in her!
