Dr Erin Dale Schmitt

I am new to the area and called today to make an appointment to see Dr. Erin. Someone named Lynn answered the phone and when I asked if they were accepting new Medicare patients, she informed me I would have to call the New Patients telephone number and gave me the number (no offer to transfer me). I then hung up and called the number...asked if they were accepting new Medicare patients, and Lacy said "yes". I then asked if I could make an appointment and she said I would have to call the office. I said you have to be kidding, but she said she could transfer me and did so. I once again talked to Lynn and stated I wanted to make an appointment to see Dr. Erin. She asked me what my name was, date of birth, and my problem. I was then told that I would need to come in and complete all the paperwork before they could set an appointment. I asked couldn't I just come in a little early and complete the paperwork at that time. She stated No. I explained that I live way north of the… town of Dolores and that wasn't very convenient, nor did it make a lot of sense. She stated that is how this was handled. Needless to say, I will pursue another doctor, even though I really liked Dr. Erin's profile.
