Dr. Erin Elizabeth Sperry Schlueter, MD

I asked the doctor if it would be a good idea to run my labs before prescribing me medication. She said the labs don’t tell her anything they are garbage. I mentioned I retain a lot of water prior to my monthly cycle and it’s getting worse as I age(I brought it up because its a lot of water weight) I am no where near being overweight so this shouldn’t be as bad as it is. She said that has “nothing to do with nothing” (I just thought to myself my gynecologist years ago from another state said the swelling was due to my cycle) I played stupid and asked her what type of doctor I should go see for the swelling and she told me I should see a cardiologist. I thought well this doctor has no idea what she’s talking about. My blood pressure was great and I have no signs of a heart condition or vascular issues whatsoever. It felt like she was basically reading from a script of what the company tells her to do for women at my age no matter what questions I asked her she kept on reverting back… to the same thing over and over again. I would have liked her to take me seriously but the office just seemed to cattle call patients in and get them out the door as quickly as possible. I asked her a few more questions about my symptoms and she said “I dont know” and did not offer to even look into. I took that as she just wanted to get me out of her office so she could see her next patient and move on with her day. Then the top the entire visit off she was said she was going to call in a prescription for me. She did not do it. I had to follow up with the office and instead of the office calling me back to tell me what happened and they called it in to the pharmacy the next day. They never called me back to follow up with me. There was no personal touch at all during the visit and it clearly felt like the staff and doctors there did not care about their patients. They were all about the dollars they were bringing in. I will have to go see another doctor that actually cares about their patients.

Dr. Sperry was wonderful and from the minute she walked in the room, she was friendly and compassionate and informative. She took the time to explain everything she did, and answered all my questions and while she was efficient, I didn’t feel rushed at all. It was such a positive experience and I feel fortunate to have found a doctor/specialist like Dr Sperry. The entire experience from front desk staff to MA was great and everyone made me feel comfortable and treated me like a human being.

Doesn't listen, lied on appointment "summary report"

I’ve been seeing dr Sperry for several years now. She has always been great. She anwsers any questions I have no matter how long it takes. She is quick to respond and return a phone call if I call looking for guidance. I have never had a bad experience with dr Sperry and her bedside manners have been terrific.

WAS IN EXAM ROOM LESS THAN 30 SECONDS;ONLY STAYED LONGER WHEN QUESTIONS ASKED BUT WAS MAKING HER WAY TOWARD TO DOOR.WORST BEDSIDE MANNER I HAVE ENCOUNTERED .SO SAD SINCE OBSTETRICS IS SUCH A GREAT AREA FOR TEACHING.I HAVE BEEN AN RN FOR 42 YEARS.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

She is wonderful and caring. I love her. Her appointments are quick and with the information I was looking for.
