Dr. Marte is a rare find in Endocrinologists. His caring and compassion was evident from the beginning of my first appointment. Extremely knowledgeable in current research, he is also willing to listen and take an incredible amount of time to fully capture your medical history. I loved the "we are in a partnership to determine your care" approach. He was on time (I was the first appointment) and he spent as much time as I needed to discuss my plan going forward. Yes, I did have to wait a few months for my appointment, but after trying 3 other Endocrinologists in the area, I can honestly tell you, he was well worth the wait. His office staff was very pleasant and capable. I feel like I have found a "gem of a doctor" and finally am in very good, caring and capable hands. I am thrilled to have him as part of my health care team! Thank you, Dr. Marte!

Great doctor and human being. Got my diabetes control with less medications. Too bad I didn’t meet him before. Just a heads up, is hard to get an appointment with him. Worth the wait though. I am grateful my doctor sent me to him.

Dr. Marte is an amazingly kind man with a clear passion for his patients' health. I have seen a review or two about wait and "dismissing of people's care". While there can be a wait, it's usually because he has a high volume of patients. Makes sense as he is good at what he does and it makes a lot more people than usual want to see him (especially since he is one of few actually decent endocrinologists in the area). As for being dismissive of people's needs, I had a lovely conversation with him where he mentioned how he likes to take the simplest solution first so that care for a patient is as simple and inexpensive as possible. Personally, I believe that is a lost quality in doctors these days as the lining of their pockets tends to outweigh the fact that sometimes they ignore that a patient doesn't need millions of drugs for a health issue. ------------------- In short, Dr. Marte is a wonderfully personable doctor with clear expertise and an unparalleled wish to see his patients… as happy and healthy as possible. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

After 15 years with weak bones he found the right treatment for me. My insurance did no want to pay and he talked to them. I just got my density results and for the first time my bones are better. I highly recommend this doctor!!!!!

I have had a totally different experience than these other reviews and I would tread very lightly before choosing Dr. Marte. Pros: very engaging, appears knowledgeable, Cons: does not address long term consequences of diabetes (just the basic stuff), was over an hour late, have been waiting two weeks for rx refills (a common complaint of patients), and does the bare minimum as a specialist to assist you. I am a legit patient, cant blame it on me being a disgruntled ex-employee, ex-friend, etc... I hope for the sake of your other patients that my experience is unusual.

I can see why he has such a good reputation. He cares about his patients and got my diabetes controlled. Don’t eat carbs!! His staff is not very helpful tho. When you call the person on the phone is not a nurse and cannot answer questions on the spot. Otherwise I highly recommend this doctor.
