I had been living with lower back pain for nearly 40 years, having been to numerous doctors and trying other courses of treatment, such as chiropractic, massage, and physical therapy. Dr Braxton reviewed my symptoms and gave me variety of options, while providing his opinion of the best course of action - ALIF surgery. My wife and I felt very comfortable with him and his entire staff so we opted to pursue the surgery option. He did give me a very realistic idea of what the post-op recovery would look like, including potential pain and nerve issues. Knowing this ahead of time made it easier to navigate through the recovery knowing that my experience was normal. When I came out of surgery, the pain I had been dealing with in my right hip and leg was gone for the first time in decades. As I worked through the recovery and rehab, all of the symptoms and issues that had prevented me from living my life as full as I wanted had all been resolved. I feel better now at 56 than I did at… 20! I am able to do things with my kids and grandkids that I was not able to do before. This summer (1 year post-op) we will be taking a backpacking trip through the canyons of Utah, something that I thought I would never be able to do again! He has truly given me my life back! The staff are also amazing. They came alongside us from day one and helped us navigate everything from insurance to where to stay locally the day of the surgery to personal follow ups daily post-op. The level of care here is outstanding on all accounts! Thank you Dr Braxton and VSON for truly giving me back the life that I want to live!

When trying to find a Neurosurgery to see me asap for my very large disc herniation I read Dr. Braxton's bio. I felt confident then and will ever be appreciative for the work and training he has put in to be a top professional in this field!!! I have been to more doctors and appointments than I care to share. Dr. Braxton was the only one who was able to diagnose my condition. He and his staff are extremely professional and provide care the way it should be. Highly recommend.

Dr Braxton takes his time to explain your diagnosis and make sure you are completely comfortable with the recommended procedure. I was experiencing multiple issues at the time an Dr Braxton listens and hears you. He may have played the role as my mental health counselor when I was at my witts end with nerve pain. I had Cervical Spinal Stenosis and Dr Braxton performed Cervical Disc Replacement. I was up and walking 2 hours after surgery, I gained movement back in my left extremity, and most of the nerve pain was eliminated. Not to say, you may need PT for awhile. His team is amazing! 5 starts in all categories.

Five years ago Dr. Braxton solved my spine problem with a non-invasive surgery that gave me instant relief. The problem never returned. Recovery from the surgery was rapid, easy, and complete. Now I have a new problem that requires surgery. Of course, I have returned to Dr. Braxton. He is a warm, superb human being and a master problem solver. And, he is not alone. He has developed a superb support team that makes every aspect of this complex medical process very easy. I'm an old man and have visited far too many medical practices. Certainly you know what I mean when I say that those places are aggravating and degrading. Dr. Braxton's practice is exactly the opposite. Here everything is smooth and easy. If I gush too much here you will probably think I am being paid. No, I am just very grateful!

Back surgery is a complicated, confusing , scary thing. Dr Braxton recently performed surgery on my lower spine. His diagnosis was quick and confident as well as all the referrals From prior patients I knew. He did the most conservative procedure which I was so thankful for. Super nice caring doctor. He called me back personally whenever I had questions and you can just tell he is a surgeon to help people! Whatever you do go see Dr Braxton for your back issues or opinion. So happy someone like this chose to help me. His team of assistants and nurses and office manager were just as great and helpful. Love them all!!
