Dr. Sterett and his staff are very professional and approachable. Getting an appointment was much easier than I expected due to their flexibility. It is apparent that they truly care about their patients. I couldn’t be happier with how things went.

I had a great experience with Doctor Sterett, this was a routine visit to check my knee, my husband and I had knee surgery with him with amazing results. Besides being an outstanding physician he is a great human being.

Doc Sterett scoped my knee two years ago. Complete success. It was a no brainer to see him and the Team when I developed a shoulder issue. All surgeons live to cut, but the good doctor walked me through the pros and cons. PT here I go.

Dr Sterett performed double partial knee replacements in Dec 17’. The device in my right knee was placed in a crooked position. I have seen four other surgeons and they all agree device is not placed correctly and I will need reconstructive surgery to replace device. I can no longer walk more than 5-10 minutes. This has effected my entire life. I can no longer enjoy any type of physical activity. I trusted Dr. Sterett to help me. Truly a HUGE disappointment!!

Dr. Sterett did total knee replacement surgery on my Right knee in 2011. The outcome was above my expectations. I can do anything I want without pain, I have full flexibility and strength. I hike in the mountains daily and ski in the winter. Before surgery those endeavors was just a pipe dream due to severe pain and limited motion. Bottom line,”great surgeon with the best bed side manner you’ll ever encounter nationally!” Team Sterett is just the best.

I dislocated my left knee. During the second surgery to repair the damage, while under the care of Dr. Sterett, Dr. Hackett and the Steadman Clinic, I got compartment syndrome on my lower "right" leg. Keep in mind they were operating on my "left" knee. What was scheduled to be a routine out patient surgery turned into a week long hospital stay with daily surgeries. My nerves were severed from my knee to my toes, there's an incision running from my knee to my ankle on the outer right leg, another incision nearly the length of my calf on the inside of my right leg, and most of the muscle along my shin was removed. In addition, my big toe is permanent contracted and the three middle toes are compromised due to all of the scare tissue. Before their acts of carelessness, I was competing in duathlons, rock climbing, mountain biking, climbing and snowboarding 14ers in Colorado, road biking, practicing yoga, lifting weights, mountaineering all throughout the Cascades and Rockies,… skiing, snowboarding, hiking...pretty much living the Colorado dream. Now, none of that is possible. I will no longer be able to return to my normal active lifestyle. Nor, will my foot ever be normal. Dr. Sterett, Dr. Hackett nor the Steadman Clinic (COO Kelly Adair), to this day has taken ownership in destroying a perfectly health leg. Leaving me to deal with a lifetime of complications.

Having any kind of surgery is quite the undertaking, and finding the right surgeon for your procedure can be exhausting and nerve racking. After learning I had to undergo a complex knee surgery (torn meniscus, ACL, MCL, PCL), I did thorough research and narrowed my options down to 3 surgeons under 3 different companies. After meeting with all three, I can honestly say that Dr. Sterett is not only the best surgeon I could have gone with in the area, but the best surgeon in the country. Prior to scheduling my surgery, he diligently spent all the time I needed to understand and be comfortable with the procedure that would take place (rather than leaving me to a PA like other surgeons had done when meeting with them), he provided his cell phone in case I had any additional questions/concerns, and genuinely showed care and concern before, during and post-op. Unlike other facilities in the area where I felt like I was just another number in their clinical research and being pushed through… the system, Vail Summit Orthopedics, Dr. Sterett and his team were extraordinary in every way. When it comes time for you to place your trust into someone for any type of knee surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Sterett. He and his team are quite simply the best.

Doc is busy but worth the wait.
