Dr. Ernest Katz III, MD

This review is somewhat old, but I just have to tell it. Several years ago, Dr. Katz diagnosed pneumonia in me and prescribed a yellow-pill antibiotic. I have taken penicillin-based antis before without any reaction....Well, this pill hit me for a loop. I felt like I was going to die of thirst. Water, drinks, mouthwashes...nothing helped. Dr. Katz's suggestion...."cut the pill in half and only take a smaller dose more often". i demanded another round of treatment. 2nd case: I was in for a physical...My regular doctor was out so guess who saw me...Katz. Stark naked on the table, he was in the middle of my exam when a nurse came in to report that some big-time football player from the Washington Redskins was in for a follow-up. He left telling me..."this will only be a few minutes"...For over 2 hours I waited for him to return. Finally I got my clothes on and left. I found a new physician....katz had the B@lls to send me a bill for $250.00...I never paid it.

Seems to have a problem completing a colonoscopy. I personnally know 4 people who were told by Dr Katz that "he couldn't complete their colonoscopy" and the had to come back for a barium enima. He's either incompetant or something else is going on.

Dr. Katz does nto spend enought time with his people trying to find the problem. It seems he just wants to chat for a minute and then give you a perscription and leave. Also, I have called and left a message for him three different times and have never, never received a call back - not one.
