Overrated and overpriced.

A brilliant physiatrist who in one visit changed my life.

I felt Dr Madhavan was completely engaged in my issues. They were genuinely important to him-I was important to him. He listened carefully and then, without hesitation, began to tease out their components and in a simple and clear way illustrated a pathway to understanding their origins and, most importantly, showed me a straightforward way of dealing with and coming to terms with them. I have recommended him to a family member and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to a friend. I will be forever grateful to Dr M for working with me.

Dr. Madhavan has been a great help guiding me through the world of anxiety. Without his knowledge, patience and compassion this journey would be much more difficult to manage. I have and will continue to recommend him.

Dr. Madhavan was recommended by my therapist so have been seeing him since 2012. Very easy to work with, returns calls promptly and he combines medication management with ACT therapy. ACT therapy has been amazingly effective in my case.

He truly cares about mental health and giving patients the tools to get there.

I've seen my share of psychiatrists and mental health experts over the years for anxiety, depression and other associated issues, and none has put me at ease as quickly as Dr. Madhavan. As another reviewer stated he "gets me." I sought his insight on a complicated case of anxiety, depression, and medications following a car accident. All I can say is that this man understands how the human mind works (or doesn't, sometimes), and both what's needed to fix it and to put the patient at ease while doing so. He also answers his own phones and was very prompt in returning my calls.

I thought Dr Madhavan was very considerate and helpful; he listens to your problems and takes a methodical approach to solving them. The only negative is that he does not bill insurance, so it's a lot of money out of pocket.
