Dr. Ernesto J Dorame, MD

For being a Pediatrician’s office this place looks old, scary, and a depressing place to be. Then, the staff make it even worse with their bad attitudes. Staff was super rude. There were no introductions but the person who took the patient back never even checked her weight. She then asks my daughter to take all her clothes off and put a gown on. After she is naked, she then asks her to step back outside into the hallway. She doesn’t tell us what for but we figured out later it was to check her weight. Which being in the medical field I know this is a huge privacy issue and puts the patient in a super uncomfortable situation. She then doesn’t tell us what she is assessing or what the results are (blood pressure, temp, or ask us what we were in for, etc.) It was super awkward and all we got was bad looks. She mentions that she is due for a vaccine but doesn’t tell us what it’s for and just takes off out of the room. To make things worse, as we are waiting for the Doctor to come in the… room, a lady named Espy (again I was never introduced and had to ask her for her name later on), comes storming into the room 20 mins into our scheduled appointment time yelling that I can’t be in the room because I am stepmom. Apparently bio mom decided to show up 30 mins into the appointment, and since Dad was with me they kicked me out. The part that’s the most upsetting was the way she did it and how rude she was about it. She never explained that it was due to COVID until I approached her after getting kicked out of the room and had to find my way back to the waiting room. I understand and am willing to abide by rules and regulations which is why we asked in advanced who can go into the room and was still treated this way. She never even asked which one of us wanted to stay. Dad would have preferred I stayed in the room, since I’m in the medical field, and know the most about the patient then anyone. It was so inconsiderate and I would not recommend this place to anyone! Coming from someone who is Spanish herself, considering only Spanish speaking families were observed coming in the entire time I was in the waiting room, then I guess I would say to try it if english is your second language. But, I would still worry about how you’d be treated.

I absolutely love Dr Dorame but the office obviously schedules too many appts. Every time we go in it's always a super long time waiting to be seen.

I'm a a first time mom of a two week old little boy. First off, my son was jaundiced, and they squeezed him in so that I could take him home. Dr. Dorame was incredibly patient, and answered evert single one of my questions, and asked if I had more. And I had a lot. He had an amazing touch with my son, in his two appointments, he didn't cry a bit. Very gentle and thorough. He even respects and encourages that i pump and bottle feed instead of breastfeeding, as it makes my son much happier. Which makes for a happy mommy. His staff is incredibly nice as well. My son spit up before his appointment and the nurse helped me bring the car seat to the room because I was trying to clean my baby up. All I have to say is I am incredibly pleased I chose to take my son here. I found a doctor and staff I can really trust.

Worst place ever i took my kids here because of friends reccomendation... Never in my life will i reccomend this place to anybody everything that would happen to my kids the doctor would say it was normal and in result if listening to him my son had to be in the hospital 5days with rsv... And not a while ago my sister in law was sent to do any allergy lab test to her daughter in result the doctor said everything was fine... Well no we actually thought her daughter had enzyma no she was actually allergic to eggs and milk in which Dr.Dorame said everything was perfectly fine she bever wanted to send her to a specialist this is the worst clinic never take your kids there_!!!

We've had Dr. Dorame as our pediatrician for over 18 years. He has provided excellent and genuine care to all three of my children. The only reason I gave 'three stars' for ease of getting an appointment is because many times he is booked several weeks in advance- that's gotta say something for his care! As for same day 'urgent care' appointments, I have NEVER had a problem getting my children for immeidate appoints- the staff and Dr. Dorame have always been very accomodating with regards to quick care for children.

We have been taking our 3 girls to Dr. Dorame for 11 years. He has never been wrong. Excellent doctor.
