Dr. Szela is a very experienced gynecologist. He has taken care of my medical needs over 10 years. Dr Szela is professional, knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns regarding my health. I highly recommend him for all your gynecological needs.

I had abnormal uterine bleeding for about a month and ended up in the ER. The ER doc thought I had just a gastritis episode despite my bleeding. I then went to an immediate care and they diagnosed me with constipation of all things-obviously that was not causing my bleeding. I was super frustrated and was referred finally by my PCP to Dr. Szela. As someone in medical school, I had a good idea of what needed to be done to figure out my diagnosis and Dr. Szela was the first one to actually do that. He was extremely knowledgeable on the subject of abnormal uterine bleeding and we talked at length to try to get all the history behind this. Although all my labs and tests came back normal and we couldn’t come to a conclusive diagnosis, he prescribed me a hormonal regimen that seemed to fix the problem so I was satisfied. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is he is a bit more of a genius technical type and not social type so that’s probably why other patients perceive him maybe as “cold”. I… also would have liked to try to explore more of why I had the hormonal imbalance in the first place. Overall he is a trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable physician and I felt comfortable around him.

Let me start by saying I am only giving this review a POOR rating because of Dr. Szela's staff. They are clearly unprofessional, rude, argumentative, and they feel the need to belittle every patient that walks into their door. Let alone when a patient, like myself, invokes their right to refuse a pregnancy test, since I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago, they felt the need to "run and tell." Let alone they lied and falsified my medical chart and claimed they did an " in house pregnancy dipstick urinalysis; negative." First If a patient refuse to take a urine test YOU CAN'T PLACE ON A CHART POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE FOR ANY RESULT. That, my friends, is called falsifying medical records. The Schaumburg office is the worst. And I should not have to inconvenience myself and travel to his other offices; either way the nursing staff and desk staff switch offices. You want to make your patients happy..Clean house and get rid of your entire nursing staff and front desk staff. They represent you...

Last app was a month ago, was told to start therapy and Cassandra would call me but still nothing, called last week and this week to speak directly to Dr Szela and Kelly called me back. Let a message but no one in the office knew about the referral call I was waiting on?! Called today I’m home sick from all this mess! Waiting on yet another call and all this is after doing everything he’s told me too including 3 major surgeries and 3 outpatient..... I’m just so frustrated w the pain and discomfort

My experience with Dr Szela was excellent. Very professional and competent.

H did not look at me only at the computer while he was typing, I was explaining my situation and he never looked up once. DO NOT GO TO HIM. He was not paying attention to me and seemed to care less

Although I was aware of my infertility years prior he required no additional testing before offering surgery. He is straight to the point, doesn't get to know his patient, and not sympathetic, however I do feel that has experience and knowledge can be trusted.

Don't go to this guy, he just wants to see and touch your breast and vagina which is called for "test"

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Szela! I saw him exclusively throughout my pregnancy and he also delivered my son. My experience with Dr. Szela has been great! He takes the time to address any questions a patient might have and has a great bedside manner. He made all the right calls and recommendations during my pregnancy for which I am so grateful! He is a very intelligent guy with tons of knowledge and experience in his field. I recommended him to a couple of friends and they are very pleased with him as well. Great doctor!
