Dr. Ethan Homedi

I took my son to the ER for breathing problems and Ethan Homedi was the resident assigned to help us. At that time, my son already had a diagnosis of croup. Ethan Homedi ignored written recommendations from a previous ER visit at Loyola, he ignored an existing diagnosis, he ignored symptoms, and ignored my concerns. Upon meeting his supervising doctor, Joseph Mueller, it became apparent that Ethan Homedi was following the direction of Joseph Mueller. It seemed that their focus was to push me out of the hospital with a son that was having significant difficulties breathing. Ethan Homedi suggested that my son was having trouble breathing due to “anxiety.” My son does not have a history of anxiety nor was this ever a concern. My son did however have a diagnosis of croup with flu and this was not explored. I hope that as Ethan Homedi’s career progresses he can develop integrity, improve his investigative skills, learn to pay attention, and listen to ensure care for his patients.
