Excellent Doctor he knows what he is doing he gave me the pros and cons of my condition he really cared and was concern about my condition.

So pleased with the results of my surgery with Dr. Barwick. He explained everything that would happen in a pre-surgery visit and answered all of my questions. So when the day of surgery came, I was totally comfortable with the procedure and knew I was in good hands. Dr. Barwick is very caring, competent and also has a wonderful staff. I highly recommend him and Lexington Medical.

I was sent here via referral to remove a cyst. I was in recovery room when a nurse asked him to rectify HIS orders. He was nasty to her and hung up. I internally thought “I’m never coming back to this unprofessional, arrogant human being. He’s clearly in this business for profit. Well, when my cyst came back cancerous. My primary care advised against me using this surgeon. When I asked the surgeon if he was going to perform the recommended Mohs surgery , he gave me this run around. Being new to the area , I reluctantly agreed to surgery since he painted a picture that this is minor etc , etc. I immediately came out of surgery and was (still am ) in excruciating pain. I verbalized this , they did get my pain level under control long enough to get me discharged. I’m day 2 post op , Barnwick refuses to refuses to help me with pain management. He got paid , now he’s finished. I should have left when the anesthesiologist alerted me that he hopes Dr. Barnwick makes the decision to do… my surgery right. CON : I’m in unbearable pain and my back is butchered bad. PROS I’ve been blessed to see a specialist that specializes in this type of skin cancer, so I’m in great hands and he’s not in this “for the money”. I’ve endured femur restoration surgery in TN and healed perfect, no pain. This minor surgery that Dr. Barnwick performed, the pain should be easily managed yet he refuses. When did our medical care become where we bow down to people who are unprofessional? Remember, patients have to be their own advocate. These providers get paid by the patient. I’m thankful for free speech and am able to warn other patients from having to endure what I did. I’m on social media as an advocate for patients. As a former travel nurse , I’m able to save innocent people. That , I’m thankful for.

Dr. Barwick is an excellent surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. He truly cares about his patients. My experience with him and the practice was great.

I was more than pleased with Dr Barwick and the entire lexington hospital. It was my first time in the e.r. or in a hospital in my life. It was a pleasure. Thanks to everyone

I don't doubt that Dr. Barowick can do his job well, but there are a lot of little things that cannot be overlooked. When I was being shaved, by Dr. Barowick's tech, the tech kept inviting other nurses in while being shaved, he had no concern for my privacy, it was pretty embarrassing. I was really uncomfortable after the surgery. I just thought "well that's the way it is." The day after the surgery I stopped taking the pain killers, there was no change in pain, the pain killers they prescribed me were so weak. Dr. Barowick was not around after the surgery, I would think he would at least check in on me. He filled out my employers restricted duty form incorrectly; I was restricted from sitting, standing, etc. This caused me a lot of aggravation at work. I was actually asked to leave work because of it, costing me even more unnecessary lost time from work. There was a bad storm,so my follow up appointment had to be re-scheduled. My new appointment was so far out that my skin grew… over the stitches before the appointment. I was afraid if I waited any longer that it would have required cutting the skin to get the stitches out, so I removed them myself. i didn't have $75 to go to urgent care and had to use a pair of (cleaned) fingernail clippers in my bathroom. I understand there was a bad storm, but he should have been more aggressive in re-scheduling. When you're in his practice it's almost a madhouse. Any one of these things by themselves would be bad enough, but together it indicates that Dr. Barowick's practice is disorganized and just not well run.

Dr Barwick really saved my life twiced. He is an excellent surgeon and the staff is very nice and helpful. I would not let any other surgeon operate on me for my illness.
