Dr. Eugene Robert Schnitzler, MD

Back in 2011 I developed a very rare neurological condition. He guessed that it was “complex migraines” at first (it was not). After months of no progress, he asked me to leave the room so he could talk to my dad privately (I was a minor at the time). Then he went on to tell my dad that my symptoms might all be in my head and not real. ... I have since been diagnosed with a very real central nervous system disorder (by multiple other neurologists). I still feel sad about the whole situation. His acussations of my symptoms not being real took a drastic negative effect on my teenage self. I hope he can read this message and learn from it.

wrong diagnosis.medication he prescribed caused tics and he had no idea just kept increasing meds.When I told him I read in the leaflet the meds caused tics he didnt care. 5 siezures coming off meds.everything he did was wrong and made everything worse

If Dr Schnitzler needs a nicer office person, I'm ready to go!!! He is the sweetest, kindest, most patient caring doctor who is extremely professional with a very understanding and tolerant bedside manner! I worked for him several years back, and haven't found a nicer doctor in three States that I've lived in! He is the "Dr. WELBY" that every mother of a sick child prays for!! He gave as much time as we needed, and listened to his patients and their family! He should teach doctors how to be great doctors! Dr. SCHNITZLER helped my son! He made an amazing difference in how my son learned. That was crucial, and other doctors just wanted to drug test on my sweet little hyperactive child! You will not be disappointed should you choose to visit him. Trust me!!

No call backs even after promise from the nurse. Nurse was rude and not understanding. Dr just tries out differnet Meds.

Excellent doctor. My daughter has been a patient of his for over 5 yrs and I wouldn't take her to anyone else.

Dr. Schnitzler is one of the few physicians still out there that truly cares for the patient's overall well-being. My brother has been going to Dr. Schnitzler after a few other doctors were not able to properly treat is seizures. Dr. Schnitzler was very methodical in his approach with determining the best treatment and he never once made us feel like we were just one of his 10 patients of the day. He remembered my name the first time I met him and he is just a plain old good man. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He has an autistic son as well, so he understands first hand how a neurological condition can affect someone and their families. Not many other doctors out there offer this type of experience or insight.

My son has been under his care for most of his life (about 16 years). We love Dr. Schnitzler .. his diagnosis was not an easy one to take and Dr. Schnitzler was very upfront with expectations and potential outcomes and also tempered it with positives. When my son had his first seizure and the tests were run he personally called us even though he was on vacation at the time. He really cares about his patients.

If you want a doctor who is up to speed on new research and is patient orientated, Dr. Schnitzler is the man., The absolute best out there!
