Dr. Eugene Patrick Toy, MD

Dr. Toy is the kind of doctor who truly takes his time with his patients. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, heard, and cared for. He is always encouraging and knows how important it is to give his patients hope and reassurance during difficult times. What makes Dr. Toy even more special is that he doesn’t just build a connection with his patients—he takes the time to connect with their families as well. He genuinely cares about the people he treats, and that compassion makes such a difference. I honestly could not have asked for a better doctor to be by my side. I’m incredibly grateful for the care, kindness, and encouragement he has given me throughout my journey.

Dr. Toy is top notch in our book. He had taken special care of my mother who suffered from Fallopian Tube cancer for the last 12 years. He made an effort to utilize all the tools avaiable, to help her during her treatments. She absolutley loved him and trusted him with her life. And so did my family. He was always direct with our plan of action for treatment and was always willing to try new things. We believe he gave my mother the best possible care that he could.

Stay away from Dr Toy. Is not the sympathetic and caring human you think. Provides no help or advise with clinical trials when his standard chemo regime fails. He misses calls, misses appointments, and gives up! Not even a good-bye!

Dr. Toy and his office staff at Rochester General are caring, responsive and efficient. I have been treated in Rochester at the Lipson Center and in Charleston, S.C. at the Hollings Center. I have truly been blessed.

Dr. Toy exhibits his concern and caring for his patients. One has no doubt that his patients are NOT just a number in his book. His gentle touch is so reassuring and comforting and puts one at ease.

he is great. he is a very caring and compassionate man. the staff is wonderful. will call you himself and always returns your calls personally.when you are dealing with cancer patients it is extremely important that you have these qualities. he always has a hand shake and a hug. just super.

Dr. Toy is an excellent doctor, a wonderful human being, and a saint. I was sent to him with a very grim diagnosis and I will never forget his first words - "I can help you." He ordered chemo & radiation to shrink my tumor prior to surgery. Because I live 80 miles from his office and the hospital, he contacted an oncologist/radiologist in my area so I would not have to travel far for my treatments. I was blessed - two wonderful professionals working together to get me through the treatments and prepared for surgery. Dr. Toy performed my surgery and I'm coming along fine. If you are diagnosed with cancer, please see Dr. Toy - you will like him immediately and you will get the best care available.

Dr. Toy removed ovarian cancer from me five years ago and has always been caring in my follow-up appointments.

Dr. Toy does not appear to understand the phrase, "Do no harm"! Stay clear of this doctor.
