Dr. Eunmee Annie Lee, MD

I felt unheard and my symptoms dismissed after leaving Dr. Lee's appointment. She did not show knowledge of various concerns. For example, poor hygiene is a major part of life for people with ADHD and she said this was not a characteristic of ADHD. Another example, I said that I had experienced ringing in my ears since childhood and that I had frequent ear checks into adulthood. She said I needed to get my ears checked again. I explained that I had years of therapy, meditation, etc. She did not consider these experiences or explain why they might not be helping. The tone of the meeting was, "your symptoms are not that bad, it's just depression" without explaining how my depression might be showing up as physical symptoms. She said certain traits were not ADHD or OCD related, but if you do basic ADHD and OCD research you will immediately find these traits listed for women. She was just another doctor who didn't listen. It was an unproductive appointment. She simply increased my dosage… of medication.

Unfortunately I felt unheard and judged. No humble enough to admit when she might be wrong or ignorant on a topic, very rigid on her protocol and not open to learn about what she doesn’t know yet in order for her patients to get better.

This doctor is judgemental and mean. Left feeling worse.
