Dr. Eva Maria Gassiraro, MD

I was so looking forward to meeting my new PCP but was unfortunately thoroughly disappointed. I found Dr. Gassiraro to be cold and condescending. She made me feel inadequate on several occasions: I felt judged for no apparent reason. If you are looking for a compassionate and caring provider, look elsewhere.

I wholeheartedly agree with the other reviews on this site. Sadly Dr. Gassiaro is not a good physician. I would use the exact words of other reviewers and it was a relief to see that I am not the only one who has been treated in a brusque and impersonal manner. The office staff and nurses are pleasant and helpful, but Dr Gassiraro always rushes through visits, barely appears to be listening and is really interested in labeling patients issues as only due to their weight. It's like she has one eye on the door for the entire 8 minutes she spends with you. I have become so intimidated by her I will not even go into her office or just make an appointment with the nurse instead. It is baffling to me that she doesn't have any sense of self awareness about how off putting she is. There are so many bad Dr's out there and Dr.Gassiraro is one of them.

when i chose her as my new PCP i had high hopes she would be a compassionate, smart, and attentive provider. I couldnt have been in for more of a surprise. At our initial visit she hardly asked me my medical history, she was rushed, didnt seem to listen to my concerns, and did not order tests that were necessary but instead made me return for a follow up which she was even worse with rushing, and seemed to generally not care one bit. She does not respond to her patient emails and when your lab results are in she says very unprofessionally your labs are fine. She is quick to refer you to other providers and seems shes burnt out and does not put any effort into patient care. This is scary as a patient to have to experience and i sure will not settle for a pcp who doesnt listen, or provide any care for their patients. I am finding a new pcp ASAP. I advise if youre looking for a pcp DO NOT chose her whatever you do. If you like a dr who brushes you off, doesnt reply, and gives you no… insight on your health then go for it.

After periods of long absence from my home and husband, due to parental deaths abroad, I sought help with some marital difficulty due to vaginal dryness and depression. The doctor never saw me even once. The old nurse practitioner cited men's infidelity generally, and my husband's specifically, as the cause. Subsequently, because of these problems, my marriage deteriorated into divorce. I still believe to this day, that if I had a better advice and care from this woman's office, my personal life and relationship would have been different. The nurse attributed her husband's evil to mine, with the same result as hers.

Excellent at diagnosis and very generous with treatment explanation

Everything seems rushed and not too sure about any symptoms given. Have to ask for extra tests.
