Dr. Evan Benjamin Dreyer, MD

I have seen Dr. Dreyer and very impressed with him. He is focused and kind. His handling of my problem has been precise and pointed. I would strongly recommend him.

Dr. Dreyer took very good care of me when I was diagnosed out of the blue with narrow angle glaucoma. Scary situation made much better with the knowledge and confidence with Dr. Dreyer. I love him!

I had a favorable opinion of Dr. Dreyer up until recently. I have Gluacoma and he is very good with me on that perspective; however for the past 20 years I have had an issues with my eyes watering constantly and have tried everything including having my eyes blessed to get it to stop. At my one appointment, Dr. Dreyer said I can put plugs in them - I have time right now. I said great. Well, the plugs not only didn't work, but to add insult to injury - I got a bill for $400! I called my insurance co and they informed me that having plugs placed into the tear ducts is a surgical procedure (something I was not told about) I confronted Dr. Dreyer about this as he is familiar with my financial situation and he said yes, it is surgical and if you have not met your deductible it is very costly. I said the procedure did not even work and had I know it was surgical and the cost, I would have never agreed to it. Then in a smug manner he said "if they are not working, I can take them… out"! I said for $400, forget it. I was very upset and I could not afford to put a match to $400. I paid $50 but let the remaining balance go to collections. When it came time for my next appointment, I never got a call and when I called them they said they would not see me again until I paid up. So you have a patient with Glaucoma that could eventually take their sight and you won't see them because you performed a shady procedure without disclosing the cost information and the patient is unable to pay the balance. Tells me this group cares less about their patients and more about the almighty dollar. I am in the process of looking for a new physician. Beware going there and ask lots of questions because they will not be honest and tell you up front. Money, money, money!
