Dr. Evan Rogers Ransom, MD

Dr. Evan Ransom is a Double-Board Certified Head and Neck Surgeon and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. His practice is in Union Square, the heart of San Francisco, serving patients from the entire Bay Area (including Marin County, Oakland, Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, Walnut Creek) and all over Northern California. Dr. Ransom is a specialist in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyelids, ears, face, and neck. He performs surgery at multiple hospitals and outpatient specialty surgery centers in San Francisco and Marin County, California. In addition, Dr. Ransom has extensive training in non-surgical and minimally-invasive or no-downtime treatments. Dr. Ransom completed his medical degree at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University, in New York City. Dr. Ransom graduated with the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor (top 10% of the class). Finally, Dr. Ransom was selected from a pool of international candidates for a fellowship in facial plastic, reconstructive, and laser surgery with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacono (as seen on TV on the Discovery Fit & Health network and the Oprah Winfrey Network) in New York. Following completion of his training, Dr. Ransom returned to California to open a practice focused on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, nose, and neck, as well as non-surgical rejuvenation of the face. Dr. Ransom is an attending surgeon at the California Pacific Medical Center, St. Mary%u2019s Medical Center, and St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, as well as Marin General Hospital. He is the author of over 30 medical studies and textbook chapters and has given numerous lectures at national meetings. Dr. Ransom%u2019s practice includes reconstruction of complex defects of the face and neck resulting from Mohs surgery, cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty (%u201Cnose job%u201D surgery or nose reshaping), and all types of surgery for the aging face (facelift, eyelid lift, brow or forehead lift, midface lift, and fat grafting). He uses the latest in minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques. In his free time, Dr. Ransom enjoys international travel, reading historical and science fiction, watching baseball, hiking, cycling, playing tennis, rock climbing, and snowboarding. Though it is increasingly difficult to find the time, Dr. Ransom loves to draw and paint, and has a particular affinity for charcoal and colored pencil.
