Dr. Evan Simonson

This was my first visit with Dr. Simonson based on a referral from my current podiatrist. I found him to be very thorough and knowledgeable. I left the appointment a bit confused and discouraged. My next step is a CAT scan to determine how well bone in my great toe is healing. Then I have to wait almost a month to see Dr. Simonson again to go over findings. Too long a wait.

Dr simonson is an amazing talented doctor! He takes his time explaining in a caring manner. I have sent many friends to him and they all say the same thing. He did tarsal tunnel release surgery for me and although it’s a painful healing, I know I did the right thing getting it and I’m so glad Dr Simonson did it!

I have faith that Dr. Simonson will be able to help get my foot in working order again after an incomplete surgery with another provider. He explains everything so well. I feel confident going into this surgery, and that means everything to me.

I’ve obtained multiple stress fractures and am an avid hiker. I’ve done rim to rim at the Grand Canyon, rock climbing, canyoneering, Via Ferrata. Dr. Simonson was able to explain my body to me in such a way that I was able to remain very physically active. She even helped me to understand what kind of shoes I should buy to remain active. I highly believe I have been kept from more stress fractures because of his council. He was able to tell me far more than any other doctor and even caught an old bone break that others didn’t. I’m a tough cookie. He understood this and was able to treat me accordingly. He also helped me to understand that at the age of 46. I need to think more about my health and the type of food that I am bringing into my body as my bones are becoming questionable. His bedside manner is very respectable and my husband loved him as well. My husband is a surly old vet who loves his men to be men. I am more soft natured. Dr. Evan Simonson was able to navigate both of us.… He talks to you as though he were your friend and ally. He’s willing to fight for you and help you navigate orthotics and what to ask for from your specialist and primary care team. This man is truly a blessing to our community and I hope he stays in the area. I know that I will have more stress fractures to come, and I will always come back to this man. Sometimes in medicine women aren’t heard, but this man saw me and heard me. There have been many times when I have wished that doctors would treat me as their own daughters and sisters…this man made me feel as such! May the God of all creation bless your home. My husband had surgery on his big toe joint and toe next to it. He was in a cast for six weeks, but, Unbelievably he had practically No pain throughout the whole ordeal. We are back to walking two miles a day pain free @75 years old .Dr. Simonson is a wonderful doctor. His staff is really nice as well. Easy to talk to and answered all my questions and how to move forward after surgery.

I severely broke my ankle in Germany and flew home for surgery. Dr Simonson was highly recommended by many friends and i was able to get an appointment and surgery very quickly. I can't say enough positive comments about him. He is very caring and makes sure i understand everything. My surgery was very successful and i am recovering well. Can't wait to play pickleball again.

Just had my Pre-Op appointment with Dr Simonson. He is very thorough and patient. He took the time to again review exactly what we would be doing in surgery and a good timeline of the lengthy recovery. Definitely put my mind at ease!
