Dr. Eve Leah Klein, MD

Was referred to her after my insurance changed. I have ankylosing spondylitis which has disabled me...it is notoriously painful. I was on no pain meds when I went to see her. All she gives you is gabapentin and PT...the meds she gives don’t work...and PT is fine, I can do that on my own...I can’t afford the co-pays to go twice a week or the gas money. And hey, like I tried to tell her every single time - it’s not working, I am in worsening pain. Was that even a real pain clinic? All she seems to have done with me and reading the other reviews is make people’s pain worse. How dare you claim to know how someone feels...IDK how much medical schooling you have had. I’ve had medical schooling too! Enough to know she is way off base. I can’t tell you how angry I am after wasting so much time and energy and extra pain and suffering inflicted by this woman! She is condescending, assuming, arrogant, apathetic and snide. I wish I had the power to travel in time so I could have avoided… her completely.

I have been in Chronic pain due to 2 real bad accidents within 3 months, I was reffered to Legacy Pain Management and they send me to Dr, Klein. When I was checked in they asked me for a list of my medications, then Dr. Klein proceeded to take me off of my pain medicine telling me I don't need it because she believes that pain medication makes your pain worse not better. Then she told me that I have Fibromyalga and took me off my Zoloft so that she could give me Cymbalta. She then put me on Gabapentin. She started to put me thru physical therapy, it was not helping my pain at all.... I kept trying to tell her this but she would not listen to me. Finally Gary got so angry that he went into see her with me and tried telling her that her treatment wasn't helping and that he wanted me back on my pain medication. She not only refused but turned around and threatened to call adult protective services on him. Today I have so much pain that I can barely get around, I cant even sleep at night

I have been a chronic pain pt for 20+ years and have been to many, many doctors It was only two years ago that I finally got an accurate diagnosis even though they cannot get it through their skulls that this little known about condition can cause all of my symptoms. This particular doctor completely dismissed the reason I have chronic pain and, even though I told her I had continued to push myself into doing uncomfortable activities, she and her PT told me that "people in chronic pain have a tendency to stop participating because they are scared." I did until something drastic changed. Then she told me that my sleep medicine doctor wrote in my chart that the medication I take is what is causing my sleep apnea. That is a bold-faced lie! I know this because I read my chart and that is not what my other MD said; she said NOTHING about my medication (this med only causes apnea if you drink, which I do not). Dr. Klein's entire premise is that people in chronic pain just need to… exercise. I had exercised several times a week, hiked, went snow shoeing, etc. Even after I got worse I continued and it did not help at all. Since I have quit, I have gotten no better or worse. I am just sick of these people not looking further into the cause of my pain. They refuse to believe that my condition can cause all of the symptoms that I have. A couple of years ago, I was told by another doctor that I have fibromyalgia (even though I have NONE of the "typical" symptoms). Dr. Klein agreed that fibromyalgia NOT causing my symptoms. She told me that I had central pain syndrome. Central pain syndrome is ONLY caused by damage to the brain or spinal cord; imagine that; exactly what my MRI shows that I do have, yet that can't be the cause. She wanted to see me again after I saw another specialist so I made an appointment. When I showed up for the appointment she asked "why are you here?" I had a list of things to talk to her about and when I handed her the list she said I needed to address those with my PCP, even though everything was neurological. I am actually thrilled she left Legacy. Now I am hoping I will find someone who is caring, compassionate and a good listener. Legacy is awesome and her staff is awesome. I have NEVER written a review and do not like to say anything negative about anyone, but I cannot, in good conscious, not say something.

I seen Dr.Klein just before she move. She had given me an epidural steroids injection..She had an excellent bed manners and very knowledgeable on her expertise. l would love to continue to see her for my health care if l could..wish she did not move..

I've been in pain due to a mva and have degenerative disc disease in my neck. I've been dealing with this since 1988. I started seeing eve at a pain clinic. It didn't seem to matter what I had to say about what I had already tried for alternative treatment she had her own ideas and we were not working together. Offered me classes on pain and made it sound like it was my choice. I went to the class and they had you sign in. Now they're tracking me? If I say I'm going to go then I will go if I say I'm not then I won't. Where have I shown I can't be trusted? Asked her to look into other options for pain management and she only gave me 2 options counceling and pt. I have tried these countless times and it didn't help my pain. Only flared it up. When you are a pain patient its not a one size treatment fits all. We aren't all wanting drugs. I hate taking meds but for now I don't have a choice. It. is a constant monkey on my back and all I want is to be normal. I told her I… have plenty of meds at home that I've had for years , trying to tell her if I was a drug seeker than I wouldn't have any drugs collecting dust at home. She then wanted an inventory of just what I had. We went around and around and got nowhere She just doesn't listen....

Eve has the beside manner of a stick. She doesn't listen, look you in the eye, or explain or bring the patient into the treatment process. A typical doc trying to cash in on opportunity of sick people.

A lot of mistrust and bad communication with patient. Likes to treat with "next month"
