Dr. Evelyn Nicole Mitchell, MD

I unfortunately found myself very disappointed with my experience at Dr. Mitchell’s office. I planned an appointment months in advanced and the doctor canceled my appointment because of COVID the week of. The following week I get a call saying they need to cancel because the doctor is on vacation. This is now two weeks after a procedure was supposed to be done, that was planned months in advanced for a change in IUD’s. A few days later I get a call, after I explained… my IUD is expired this needs to be done. Then, I show up to the appointment and the door to the office is locked and I waited there knocking to no answer. Ten minutes pass, I checked the other floors since I notice construction going on, then I finally went to my car and called the office. Ten minutes on hold later I was told the staff member had gotten a hold of the doctor’s assistant and that they would unlock the door. Then I finally get allowed in, after coming back in from my car just to be told I needed to… reschedule again. What is going on here? I just can’t believe this lack of organization and management. I truly go out of my way to see Dr. Mitchell because I like her bedside manner and care however this last experience of trying to get a new appointment for over a month is a bit ridiculous. The staff seems to not know what’s going on and don’t respond to even internal calls. It’s unfortunate because I really raved about Dr. Mitchell’s practice and now I’m just left with a sour taste in my mouth feeling stuck, and trying to see her. My insurance approved for this procedure before year end and the IUD has been sitting in the office for weeks, now if I leave to a different practice I’m sure I’ll forfeit the IUD cost and have to do the process all over again. Not an ideal situation when trying to get birth control.
