Dr. Evelyn Alacantara Sevilla, MD

Dr. Sevilla is intelligent, direct, honest, and truly cares about her patients. Dr. Sevilla was a practicing internal medicine doctor when I started seeing her in 1993. I had grand mal seizures during the last trimester of both pregnancies. I was not in Knoxville at the time. The first time I met her she recommended that I change seizure medications and I regret not making the change until 14 years later. She is very thorough. Dr. Sevilla is the opposite of may doctors. Several other doctors are looks like a horse, sounds like a horse, must be a horse. Dr. Sevilla will test to make sure it is not a zebra. She is very data driven and has never been wrong. I have been seizure free since 1991 with her care and guidance. If you need warm and fuzzy, she is not the doctor for you. I have been her patient for over 30 years and wouldn’t have any other doctor. I am so blessed that she kept me as her last internal medicine patient after moving to just headache medicine.

I read all the reviews before making an appointment with this physician, but made the appointment anyway, just wanted to give her a chance...didn't really think it could be as bad as so many have said. But, sorry to say, most of the complaints are legitimate. It's really too bad, because I believe she truly is gifted. BUT... this physician is very difficult and the office staff is unprofessional. Very poorly run office. The patient has no rights and she will dismiss you from care at the drop of a hat Doctor, maybe take a look at all the complaints and wonder is it really the fault of all your patients or is there truly a problem with you and your staff. Even one star rating is too high. Also, check out the many reviews in other locations under this physicians name and as well as her practice name.

I have been seeing Dr. Sevilla for several years for chronic migraine treatment. After 30 years of migraines I finally found something to reduce the number of migraines. Dr. Sevilla is very professional, intelligent, compassionate, honest, and sincere. As a health professional, pharmacist for 35+ years, I frequently recommend Dr. Sevilla for my patients who suffer from migraines. Do not believe the negative reviews.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sevilla with a complex health history and preceded by a number of misdiagnoses from other doctors. Dr. Sevilla was very patient in collecting my back history and answering my questions about her diagnosis and prescribed treatment plan. Amazing to me since as an engineer, I ask a lot of questions. I have had doctors who were offended that I would dare to ask questions! Not Dr. Sevilla! She gladly explained and welcomed my follow up questions. Her treatment plan worked when nothing else had worked! I don't understand the negative feedback that you frequently see on these review sites. And the things that they complain about are ridiculous! The result is a poor reflection on the professional which is just not right! Caring and dedicated professionals are hard to find. And none of the negative reviews I have seen on this site comes remotely close to my experience with Dr. Sevilla. I highly recommend Dr. Sevilla! For the first time, my headaches… are greatly reduced in severity and frequency. She's not done with fine-tuning my treatment, either! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and look forward to pain-free days in the near future!

I have been seeing Dr. Sevillia for almost 12 years for migraine. Although I was not a "chronic" sufferer, she has definitely taken my headaches down from about 4 a month to about 1 every few months. DO NOT EXPECT DR. SEVILLA TO PRESCRIBE PAIN PILLS FOR MIGRAINE. These are not in your best interest and can only make your situation worse. She is a migraine sufferer herself and genuinely cares about her patients and wants to see them pain free.Therefore, she is firm, honest and expects her patients to follow the protocol she prescribes.Sometimes patients may see this honesty as "rude".I see it as the sign of an expert in her field that knows what works and doesn't work.You should not waste her time or yours if you do not plan to follow her advice..Dr.Sevillia tells you what you NEED hear and not what you WANT to hear. Respect her expertise and years as a physician . She is an excellent,compassionate specialist who cares for the well being of her patients and you will see results .

This Doctor is beyond rude. If you have tattoos you don't want to use her. She was nice until she had me roll my sleeves up and she was a totally different person. Not to mention upon my arrival at the office she was out in the parking lot arguing with other people. I have worked in healthcare 20 + years and I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED ANYONE THIS RUDE OR RACIST AGAINST PEOPLE WITH TATTOOS

Dr. Sevilla has helped me manage my migraine headaches for more than 20 years! She looks at every patient individually and finds the best treatment for them. I can't imagine what my life would have been like if I hadn't found her!

I have been to Dr. Sevilla for a couple months now, and I just love her and her staff. They are extremely courteous and friendly. Dr.Sevilla is the BEST at what she does. If you have Migraines and just can't seem to get them to go away, I definitely suggest visiting Dr.Sevilla for close if not all immediate relief ! You won't be disappointed!

On the first appointment she took her time with me and explained the process and what to expect. Dr. Sevilla has gave me hope that I can live my life again. After my first Botox injection I have great relief. She is a serious doctor who is there to help if you are willing to work with her on your treatment plan.

Dr. Sevilla is a NON-NARCOTIC PHYSICIAN. Her method has worked me with The medications and Botox. Her staff is always there to help. Anything that I have paid always been correct with my claim from the insurance. There is no such thing as a billing issue when you can always check it with your insurance. If you are a narcotic seeker don't go to her. But HER METHODS WORK WITHOUT NARCOTICS..
