Dr. Evetta Shwartzman, DDS

My fiancée use to go there. The first thing that really bothered her was the way Dentist Evetta Shwartzman would wait until she had my fiancée in her exam chair as a captive audience, then she would start using use car salesman tactics in telling her how bad her teeth were and that she should really get this or that cosmetic dentistry work. To be honest with you, her teeth look fine, but thatâ??s kinda beside the point you really shouldnâ??t have to listen to an info commercial that berates your appearance every time you go to the dentist. But that isnâ??t her biggist complaint with Evetta Shwartzman, even though thatâ??s pretty despicable in its self, the worst came when she had to get work done that required novocaine. She had a filling done on the same tooth before, and her prior dentist had to give her additional novocaine to numb this sensitive area. So my fiancée asked Evetta Shwartzman before they began to give her some extra novocaine, but Evetta said she would not.… However, Evetta made a promise to her that if my fiancée was in pain she would definitely administer the extra novocaine. Now before I say what happened next, let me first tell you that my fiancée is a well educated professional business woman who has climbed the corporate ladder pretty high in the decades that she's been working in a managerial capacity. I tell you this because I want you to know that she is the last thing from being an alarmist, unreasonable or overly sensitive. So what happened next was my fiancée started experiencing pain during the procedure, so much so that nerves in the tooth were sending agonizing surges of pain throughout her body. She of course informed Evetta of this and asked for more novocaine. Dr. Evetta Shwartzman told her that she had been given enough already and REFUSED TO GIVE ANY MORE. My fiancée told her to stop drilling and wanted to leave right there and then, but Evetta Shwartzman told her that she couldnâ??t leave with the tooth's nerves exposed. So she had Evetta cap off what she was doing with a temporary filling. My fiancée would no longer allow Evetta to continue with any further drilling. Once the temporary filling was done my fiancée got up and walked straight out of the office. She still needed to get the work completed and went to a new dentist office. When she told her new dentist what had happened with Evetta Shwartzman, he was dumbfounded as to why she would not administer the needed novocaine. Her dentist of course gave her the needed amount of novocaine and everything went just fine. The scariest thing about this whole ordeal is it happened to a middle age woman who has the ability to articulate what she is feeling, but what if this were a child?
