Setting the standard
The mission of Boulder Neurosurgical Associates (BNA) surgeons and affiliated practitioners is not just to be at the forefront of neurosurgical and orthopedic spine care. It is our goal to push the field to new limits through the development and application of new techniques and instrumentation.
BNA surgeons have published dozens of peer-reviewed articles with first descriptions of state-of-the art minimally invasive techniques. We hold several patents on new, innovative instrumentation for spinal surgery, allowing surgeons to treat patients through smaller incisions w/ less recovery.
After an initial evaluation, our surgeons make every attempt to treat all patient problems conservatively without surgical intervention. Those that do undergo surgery are treated with the most advanced, least intrusive techniques. All clinical information regarding surgical outcomes is entered into prospective databases that can be …later analyzed in order to further refine our techniques.

We are the first in Colorado and among the several in the world using the state-of-the-art CyberKnife radiosurgery system. We are the first in the state using intraoperative MRI and O-ARM image guidance to guide cranial and spinal procedures with the true precision of real-time feedback during surgery.
