Fabian Thompson, MD

Dr. Fabian Thompson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude, from SUNY Geneseo, and his medical degree from the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Thompson completed his psychiatry residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, where he developed extensive expertise in the longitudinal treatment of diverse patient populations.Dr. Thompson's clinical practice encompasses general adult outpatient psychiatry, specializing in comprehensive medication management across mood, anxiety, personality and psychotic disorders. He delivers integrated care that combines advanced psychopharmacology with multiple therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
