Dr. Mak was fabulous! very compassionate and really knows his stuff!

Dr. Makdesi was a great doctor. He was very caring and attentive.

He should get another career.Limited medical knowledge, tried to cover with ego, not good for patient.Did not listen. Apparently does not care enough to research to get more information about disease.

In two separate instances at the emergency room this doctor was assigned to my elderly and enfeebled mother. In the first he was refusing to admit her because there was nothing wrong, when another doctor who was present took a throat culture and diagnosed her with a virulent flu. She was admitted and recovered. A couple of years later, a week before she died, we took her to the hospital emergency because she couldn't stand or move around and he refused to admit her because, he said, back pain was a pre-existing condition and medicare wouldn't cover it. She was deathly ill and we took her back three days later. Another doctor did the appropriate diagnostic tests and determined she had suffered a heart attack an estimated two weeks earlier. The entire scenario on which she was refused admission was based on a diagnosis of back pain, when she was essentially dying from a heart problem.
