Dr. Fadime Tuna Burgut, MD

Dr. Burgut is caring, knowledgeable and spent time not only with me but also with spoke with my family members as I went through a very difficult series of testing and diagnosis. We as a family trusted her scientific expertise and I knew she was there when I needed support and if I had questions. I would highly highly recommend her.

I have had the privilege of receiving treatment from Dr. Burgut for slightly over a year. During this period, I have gained a lot of self-awareness and greatly benefited from her expertise. She has a lot of empathy and shows extreme professionality in any circumstance. Unlike my previous experiences with other psychiatrists, Dr. Burgut correctly diagnosed and treated me, and I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is a rare gem in her field.

I have been seeking psychiatric treatment for more than 20 years. Having moved to different locations, and with technology changing over time, it’s always difficult to find a good fit, especially when you need to be on medication. That said, I can attest that Dr. Burgut is nothing less than exceptional. Her knowledge of medication, and the kinds of questions she poses proves to me that she is really paying attention to my progress and how well I’m adapting to any changes in my medication. I also like that she is consciously conservative in her approach to the dosage that I’m taking while monitoring my mood. I have no reservations whatsoever with Dr. Burgut. It took me a long time to find a Psychiatrist that I could trust. I’m glad that I have someone with her breadth of knowledge of medications, and the ways in which she engages her patients. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been taking care of my mentally ill father for years now. (diagnosed bipolar/ schizophrenia.) I was hoping Dr. Burgut would have been the one who would turn things around for him and our family. A fresh set of eyes and an eagerness to help... that's how we initially felt when first meeting her. After some time, (a year) she started cancelling his appointments with little to no notice and eventually just admitted she could not handle his care anymore. He was too difficult. No help or referral to find another doctor... just left us hanging with no plan in place. Unbelievable in my opinion and a sad state of affairs when a doctor just throws up their hands up. She did not care.... that was obvious.

I was nervous about seeing a psychiatrist but coming out after our first appointment, I felt very calm and understood.
