Dr. Faizunnisa Anwar, MD

i had booked an appointment with Dr Anwar. but kept waiting for 45 min, and the receptionist was so rude.. i wonder why the doctor has such high rating on yelp.... i had a horrible experience and that too when the person is not well..

I first met Dr Anwar probably 15 years ago while she was an associate with another doctor who is no longer in practice. I chose to continue to see her as my PCP, and have no regrets. The most impressive thing about Dr Anwar, is that she LISTENS! I have never felt rushed, and when she is running behind, I know it is because she is taking her time to listen to the patient who checked in before me. Over the years, I have come to know her staff, who are courteous and efficient as well. Dr Anwar, "tells it like it is" ... because I am not the most compliant patient, she does not hesitate to remind me how important it is to take the necessary steps to control my diabetes. I see her every three months to discuss my A1C, blood pressure, etc... and any other health problems I may be having. She has referred me to "specialists" when the need arises, but more often than not, she has been able to take care of most of my health issues. For the longest time I thought I was her… "favorite patient" because she would greet me with a hug and tell me I was.....until one afternoon I "accidentally" heard her say,"how's my favorite patient?" to SOMEONE ELSE! I have a feeling that because she takes time to LISTEN and is genuinely CONCERNED about her patients, she makes each of us feel special! Dr. Anwar treats the "whole" patient. She has helped me through depression, heart scares, weight gain, asthma, diabetes, teeth problems, high cholesterol and other health issues. I had a fear of doctors when I first came to Dr. Anwar. Past doctors had been very condescending and I felt very disconnected from them so I avoided them (which is not a good idea for a diabetic.). I have been her patient for over 10 years and I feel I am much healthier than my first visit 10 years ago. Dr. Anwar has helped me become more responsible for my own health. She listens very well and at times has given more than one option for my medical problem. I see her four times a year for my regular diabetes checkup in addition to any time I am Ill. Her office is run very efficiently with the same staff members who get to know their patients. I feel that Dr. Anwar has been responsible for extending the quality of my life and for that I am very thankful.

It was about 20 years ago Dr Faizunnisa Anwar became the PCP for both my wife and I. Through all that time—with several insurances—she has been patient, thorough, professional, and reliable. Dr. Anwar has been my PCP for over 13 years and my kids as well. She is the most caring and compassionate person I know. She takes her patient's health and well-being seriously. Every single time I go for an appointment she takes the time to tell me what I need to hear like stop drinking soda, stop eating junk food, exercise more. She goes above and beyond because she genuinely CARES! Her staff is amazing as well. They are so supportive and professional which allows for a pleasant atmosphere. I recommend Dr. Anwar to anyone who inquires about a great PCP.

She is very caring and passionate about her profession. Would not ever change doctors, even after if I have to pay out of pocket.

Dr anwar is very good but if you go there you have to waste at least 50 miniute in waiting even if you have an appointment and you come exactly in time or before they will let you wait much time . However i like dr anwar she diagnoses the patiant's condition exactly and quickly

I have been seeing Dr Anwar since 2005. Initially when I saw her I was working a new job that had a 60 day insurance waiting period. Dr Anwar was very understanding of my situation. She personally called the pharmacy to find the least expensive medication she could give me since I had to pay cash. Dr. Anwar and her staff are personable and are concerned about your medical issues. I Love her like family. You don't find many people like her.

My doctor for over 10 years

Dr. Anwar is the most kind and caring physician I've ever had. She's been my physician for the last 8 years and I trust her with every medical decision I've had to make. She really takes the time to listen to you, makes sure you don't feel rushed, that you don't feel embarrassed about anything and is extremely easy to talk to! Highly recommend her!! You won't be disappointed :) The staff are great too; they always greet me by name and are very sweet! It's like visiting family every time I go.
