She then moved to Houston, Texas where she completed her Master of Science degree in Genetics Counseling at University of Texas-Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She stayed in Houston to graduate from University of Texas-Houston Medical School, but was delighted to move back to Oregon for her Pediatric Residency at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital at OHSU. She is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Etzel is happy to be back home working in Salem and looking forward to spending her spare time with her family and friends pursuing her interests of kayaking, gardening, fishing, hiking, cooking and lounging with a good book.
