Dr. Farhad M. Limonadi, MD

I cut this rating in half due to the post-op described below. My lumbar surgery with Dr. Limonadi took place in early February 2022. I began to have concerning symptoms related to the surgery in the Spring of 2023. I tried to get a follow-up appt with Dr. Limonadi multiple times without success from April through November. As my pain and disability were getting worse, I was told to plead my case to the Emergency Room or wait till next year. Finally, I gave up and went to the surgeons at Loma Linda Neurosurgery who so far have given me four visits, eight new tests, and a complex diagnosis that fits all my symptoms: Flat Back, Proximal Junctional Kyphosis and Coronal Deformity. I am waiting on the scheduling of a three-stage revision surgery which will be done over the course of a week at Loma Linda. I will be in recovery for one year. Because the proposed revision is so extensive, my Loma Linda surgeon encouraged me to get a remote second opinion from a respected third party. I… anticipate receiving this opinion from Cleveland Clinic early next week.

Came in to ER with horrible neck, shoulder and arm pain. Thought it was a pinched nerve. Dr lemonade diagnosed guickly and operated the next day. If I had not listened to his advice, the consensus was I would have probably been paralyzed the next hard bump I took. Very precise and proficient!

He made a surgery suggestion based on MRI images. For the major neurosurgery that he was recommending, I was surprised he didn't ask to see CT scans. We left his office feeling scared and rushed into surgery we didn't know too much about. That is NOT how you want to feel. We sought another opinion from another neurosurgeon (who requested a CT scan for accurate diagnosis) and he diagnosed my father with a condition that Dr. Limonadi did not see. Long story short: if we went the surgery route that Dr. Limonadi recommended, he would have risked tearing the cerebrospinal fluid. If you leave a doctor's office feeling scared rather than reassured, that's a BAD SIGN!! It was very dangerous for him to give a consult without asking for additional images to back up his suggestion. This is a matter of life and death!! If your gut tells you to seek another opinion, DO IT!!

I had brain surgery by dr Limonadi, and he treated me with respect and dignity. He was very kind, and the surgery went very well. I had trouble with my back and he had a look, and told me I just needed to exercise my core, but I didn't then we moved and my back is worse, I am so scared to look for a doctor up here, as they don't seem as good. I would trust Dr Limonadi with any back or brain problems I had.

Dr. Limonadi performed my neck surgery four years ago and saved my life. I would have been a quadriplegic without his brilliance and gifts as a neurosurgeon. I'd like to add what a beautiful, caring, warm person he is. He took the time to comfort me and spend time with me while I was in tears in his office. He went out of his way time calm me and reassure me. I cannot praise this terrific gentleman enough. He is truly a hero to me.

Dr. Limonadi uses non invasive treatments when possible to avoid surgery. If surgery is necessary he does only what he feels is needed and does not like to take risk with his patients longtime health. After surgery he is very strict about the recovery process.

I don't think I have ever went to a doctor who DID not want to do a surgery!!! In fact he stated there was nothing wrong with me and all I needed was therapy ! After a second opinion from another DR. out of his office it was decided that i needed surgery and wondered why I didn't have it scheduled MONTHS prior !!! On of the worst bedside manners i can possibly imagine - waited the waiting room for almost 1 1/2 hours !! bad bad bad

Rude and arrogant. Although I had heard he is a highly skilled neurosurgeon, I will not trust him to care for my family.
