Farshid Amir, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 1993 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. To further develop his strong interest in contact lenses, Dr. Amir proceeded to complete his Contact Lens residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994. Dr. Amir’s interest in optometry was sparked by his desire to see the world through someone else’s eyes and being able to provide his patients with their best vision possible. Dr. Amir particularly likes being able to help people improve their overall eye health and become more comfortable with their vision.
