Dr. Fatima Belen Martinez, MD

Dr. Martinez, was not compassionate to my medical condition of insomnia. I had transferred from my previous Doctor to reduce my travel time. I had been taken a sleeping aid that requires prescription, but she refused to write a prescription for my condition. instead wrote a proscription for another medicine. She went on vacation while I suffered withdrawals and insomnia for almost two weeks. She should have known I would have withdrawal symptoms, but, refused to listen to my needs. She told me I need a see a Psychiatrist, I told her I already had do to traumatic experiences in my life. On my final visit she acted indifferent and uncaring, I would not recommend her to anyone, it was not a good experience.

Dr. Martinez is very attentive and takes time to listen.

When Dr. Bebawy was no longer available, my wife and I selected Dr. Martinez. That was an excellent choice, based on our first appointment. This Doctor is very thorough and very observant. She is also an excellent communicator. Time will tell, of course, but we think that we made an excellent choice. I have seen some negative reviews of the front office. It is true that there is a long wait when trying to reach them on the phone. The practice can probably use more help and a few more phone lines. The staff really sounds stressed when you finally connect. In person, however, they are cheerful and very helpful. Dr. Martinez’ assistant is very helpful. Do not judge this practice solely on the response that you receive from the highly stressed people who answer the phone.

Dr. Martinez and staff were great - very friendly and took the time to get to know me as a new patient. I’m glad I made the change to this practice.
