Dr. Fehmida Zahabi, MD

Most compassionate doctor who spends as much time as you need, and I’ve been with her for over 18 years. And very competent. And many of the negative reviews I see, I hope potential new patients realize she can’t respond to them no matter how one-sided some them appear to be due to HIPPA law, and that seems very unfair. You know the saying, no matter how thin the pancake, it always has two sides.

Unbelievable in the middle of Covid, they aren't practicing social distancing in their waiting room, or have hand sanitizer, or masks on. The provider and assistant did. But not the front office. AND NOT ONE BOTTLE OF HAND SANITIZER PRESENT. Not even in the exam room where there isn't a sink. When I asked why they weren't wearing masks, the front office lady said they were, as I'm looking at 4 people at the front desk without them. Took 3 weeks to get a return phone call with my labs. Took another 3 phone calls to get my labs emailed to me. Will never return. Not to mention, the nurse practitioner telling me how covid will likely go away in the heat. Hard to trust her medical advice when she shares this. When the NP came in, she immediately wanted to start me on biologics when I wasn't even having any problems. My oncologist wanted to to see a rheumatologist just as a follow up to an appointment I had 2 years ago to have my psoriasis checked. I have no theumatology… diagnosis and no theumatology issues, but let's start a biologic? I asked this and she said, well we can hold off. You bet we can because I'm not returning.

Disorganized from the beginning. I scheduled an appointment and her first opening was in 2 months. A couple of days before my appointment, they called to rescheduled it because she got "double booked." We rescheduled for a different time. $350 later and 40 minutes in the waiting room they got me in with a medical assistant. Then I had to consult with a nurse (very nice, by the way.) The doctor came in later, sat, didn't perform exams, or talked about the actual reason for my visit and just "socialized,"pushing for small talk. Again, she didn't perform any exams, didn't ask me any questions - NOTHING. She requested some lab work and asked me to follow up with her in 2 weeks. We scheduled the appointment before leaving her office. When I came back for my follow up, they said that she was on vacation, and the nurse was going to see me. Nobody called me to ask if I was ok seeing the nurse or to reschedule. I declined, got my test results and took to another doctor. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

I've been a patient of Dr Zahabi for over 4 year and find her to be the best listener, caring, patient, and have the best bedside manners. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. She will find the best care for you. She's the best and I recommend her to everyone I know.

She is the one (out of several doctors) who finally figured out what was going on with my health. I've been with her since 1999. I trust her with my life and health!

I was referred to this practice from an urgent care facility. I told the doctor that I believed I had a genetic connective tissue disorder that runs in my family. Rather than educate herself on the disorder or refer me to a physician who could properly evaluate me for the disorder, she claimed it was more likely that I had a “false negative” for lupus or RA. She began giving me chemo drugs to treat a condition for which I tested negative. When I told her the medicine wasn’t helping she switched me to another one instead of evaluating whether she was wrong. This happened twice. I switched doctors and asked for my records. I was told the records would take a few days because the doctor needed to review and complete them. When I received them I reviewed the copies and noticed she inputted several false statements to support her claim that I had RA. (Ex. I specially stated numerous times I did not have morning stiffness and always felt worse at night; she put in my records that I… complained of morning stiffness that lasted for three hours, etc). A year later I was diagnosed by two different physicians with the disorder I told her I had from the start. Unfortunately I was too sick during the statue of limitations period to submit a claim to the medical board.

I saw her partner Dr. Swathi Gonnalagadda. She is fairly nice but wants to give you the most expensive blood tests, scans and Xrays before she will even prescribe anything helpful, like prednisone. It's ridiculous. And when she is out of town, all your refills WILL be rejected. Just keep this in mind. Even when you offer to come in for an office visit, they don't care. Apparently\y, when one DR is out, the other cannot step in and help patients ! Wow.

After years of suffering with joint pain & replacement surgery only resolved some issue for a limited period of time. No one had ever tested or suggested testing for RA. I had reached a point of complete exhaustion so I was referred to see Dr Zahabi. She is caring, listens takes time to see where things are, professional takes great care to explore changes that affect additional flares or pain.
