Dr. Felipe W Zanghellini, MD

Dr. Felipe Zanghellini was assigned to us after our Dr. Kristina Gutierrez-Barela separated from Lovelace Medical Group. We had called in to schedule our son's 12 month appointment and the staff told us he would be getting his shots during this visit. Upon arrival, Dr. Zanghellini came across as argumentative regarding the purpose of the visit although we told him we were only sharing what his staff had told us. When he started looking over our son, we became even more concerned. Dr. Zanghellini was shaking uncontrollably, his skin was red and white and seemed to be stressed somehow, and he never spoke one word to our son. When doing the legs and hips check he was very forceful and our son was crying. The Dr. told us to hold him down while he did his tests but there was no compassion, sympathy, or kindness. He was simply going through the motions as though our son was a lifeless doll. He also wore no gloves while checking our sons sensitive areas which bothered us a little but… we don't know if that is standard or not. He never asked us if we had any questions. It was not a good experience. Dr. Zanghellini may have just been having an off day but it was enough to cause us to look for another provider.

Dr. Z is the best!! He always goes above and beyond for our boys!!

Dr. Z is a wonderful pediatrician! I can't thank him enough for the care he has provided to both of my children. If you are looking for a pediatrician who is knowledgeable and up to date with evidence based practice, answers questions and concerns quickly, and genuinely cares for your child, then please establish care with Dr. Z. You will not be disappointed with the care your child receives. Thank you Dr. Z for all that you do!!

Overall rating for Dr. Z is 4 stars!! Not exactly sure why my overall rating posted in the way that it did.

Dr. Z is fantastic! He has taken great care if my son and is currently helping him with his reflux. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. He follows up with every appointment and expresses genuine concern for my son. He provides exceptional care and goes above and beyond. I love that he spends time and answers all of my questions to my satisfaction. Please consider Dr. Z when choosing a pediatrician.

What is it worth for your kids to have a fantastic doctor? Words and wealth cannot really do it justice. Please consider him for your family. He has been great to us. I've had doctors where I felt like I was rushed to ask them questions. Dr. Z went above and beyond!
