Dr. Fiona Jane Kress, MD

Tried to make an appt for my son, but physician refused to meet w me solo first few min to see if she would be a good fit for my son. I would never introduce my child to someone without getting a feel for their personality and philosophy, as they have a great influence on them alone. She was polite, but didn't budge on seeing me alone first. I would never take a child to someone this inflexible, as I would not take my child to an appt then have to explain why I didnt feel she was a good fit for him. Psychologically unnecessary to the child. Parents should always screen physicians and any physician not willing to, look elsewhere. I did not expect to be seen for free first either. Would pay for initial time even if I didn't feel was a good fit.

We took our daughter to Dr Kress as an outlet to discuss her feelings during our divorce. During initial discussions, Dr Kress quickly formed an opinion that our daughter's bedtime routines needed changing and despite being told that we considered this off the agenda she continued to raise this during sessions with our daughter. Dr Kress continued to try to influence and coerce our daughter to meet the routine that Dr Kress thought she should have, ignoring our parental decision. Because of this we will not be seeing Dr Kress again.

Dr Kress was the only doctor in my network and I was referred to her to treat my child's issues with anxiety. She failed to treat my child, instead focusing almost entirely on attempting to mediate between my daughters father and myself, and find solutions that would accommodate versus ones that would improve my daughters situation. I found this to be very unprofessional and unhelpful.
