Dr. Firas Lutfi Barakat, MD

I’m truly happy with having Dr. Barakat as my primary physician. The issue I have which has no reflection on him is this particular front desk worker she is very rude, always looks miserable. I had experience with this person today that was a bit rude when all I wanted was to remind him to submit my medication to the pharmacy. My two week ago visit he stated for me to call him today Friday, 8-9-19 only for me to find out that he’s out of town and will return next Wednesday. She proceeded to say she will get the message to him but she is not going to find out if he sent the medication I informed her that I never asked her to do that all I’m asking is for him to submit my medication not sure if doctors do that while away. Nonetheless, I feel that they way she spoke to be was unprofessional and not called for. I will though speak with doctor Barakat to let him know how she spoke to me.

Last month I went to see Dr. Barakat as he use to be my doctor years ago when I was residing in the Bronx but I moved back to Queens and could continue traveling by train to see him it was too far. I have to say I was seeing doctors from ACPNY and I have to tell you this issues with my stomach didn’t appear to be getting better in fact I was not satisfied or happy with their services. It’s amazing that Dr. Barakat put me on 3 different meds for my stomach and though this is my second day taking my meds I do feel a whole lot better. Hopefully, the issues with this bacteria will go away as I will be on meds for a month or even two. ACPNY had me going to all different doctors and no one ever prescribed meds so I continue feeling ill. Overall what I’m saying is that it took my old doctor too actually do something for my overall health. I rate him 5 Stars cause he’s earned that. Thank you Dr. Barakat for caring, and sincerely caring about me as a patient not for the money.

Dr. Barakat has been my doctor for quite a few years. I have to say he is professional with his patients and is very caring and supportive of his patients.

My first appointment with Dr.Firas Barakat was very conforting in knowing that I was in the hands of a very skilled Internist; he answered my questions with caring ease,helped me understand my medical conditions; I would recommemd him to everyone who is seeking a Doctor that can treat your medical conditions with dignity & respect, Dr Firas, Barakat is 1 of the best doctors I have ever been treated by.
