Good with hands poor with brain.

Dr. Chan saved my husband's life. I appreciated her 'tell it like it is' attitude. We need more doctors like her. Dr. Chan is a gutsy woman who is great at her craft.

Augusst 2008 I was scheduled for surgery for a Aorta Bi femoral bypass which was supposed to be performed by my vascular surgeon Dr Patrick Mc Govern of Jersey City Nj ,during my surgery my doctor ran into some complications , he needed assistance , He called in Dr Florence Chan to help him with my procedure , I have 100% medical Insurance from my employer , the problem was Dr Chan was out of network , Dr McGovern called Dr Chan in without getting permission from myself due to being under anesthesia , but they could have notified my wife of the problem but they just went ahead with the operation , after I came out of surgery and recovery Dr McGovern advised me he needed the assistance from another Doctor , I had no Idea Dr Chan was out of the network , months passed by and I received a letter from her lawyer demanding $ 8,000 or they were going to proceed with court proceedings , Dr Chan charged me $ 12, 000 for her services in which my medical plan paid her $ 4,000 , I went to… court and sided with her , in my opinion was just plain old medical extortion, I spoke to many of her Colleagues and they all told me the same thing it was unethical for her to do such a thing , now my payroll is being garnished every week for close to $200.00 , I just may lose my apartment due this , I hope she is happy That I am helping her to pay for her mortgage ,..
