Dr. Florence Catherine Spitler, DO

Dr Spitler is knowledgeable however she does not have any bed side manners. She did not allow me to have any input on my own health. She was able to diagnose me with gallstones for which I am grateful but when the surgeon told me it was not urgent and I could wait until I was ready she became nasty to me demanding that I get my gall bladder out. Then right after my son died I asked her for sleeping pills which she dowled out ten at a time she was afraid of addiction. The combination of these two things was enough for me to look for someone else. I realized I had to find someone I was not afraid to talk to. I have been very pleased with her replacement who is her opposite in every way.

I have been with Dr. Spitler for several years and I love her. She really takes the time to listen, sends to appropriate referrals when needed, and extremely attentive to accuracy and detail of her exams. Recommend her to all I know!!!!

I have been a patient of hers for over a year. She didn't really listen to me, very impersonal, never smiled and I did not feel comfortable with her. She would not give me one of my prescriptions that I had been on for 5 years and would not even run a blood test for it. I would not recommend her to anyone.

As a geriatric patient, I have had lots of doctors in lots of locations. Dr. Spitler spends time with me to understand and to treat what ails me. As a Type-2 diabetic patient with all the old age aches and pains, she shows respect and professionalism.

The best doctor I have found in 80 years. I have been with Dr. Spitler for 5 years and I wouldn't trade her for any other family medicine doctor. Dr. Spitler is very thorough and never misses finding and solving a potential problem. She also knows all of the great specialists in the area. She always takes time with her patients and listens carefully. Her support staff is very good. Wait time for an appointment is good if the problem is serious and not too long for a routine problem. She will take care of problems that other doctors will pass you off to specialists for. These are problems like small skin growths that are not serious and heart problems that would begin with an EKG. Then she will refer you if the EKG shows signs of a problem. Dr. Spitler will order x-rays of body parts and then determine based on the radiologist's report whether you need to be seen by a specialist. As I said I would never leave. If she moved to another city I would still go to her if it was possible, A… long drive would be worth it.

I am a registered nurse and when searching for a new family physician, took the advice of friends for a recommendation and have been so pleased with her. She is very thorough, doesn't make you feel rushed and explains things in easily understood language. I highly recommend Dr. Spitler.

I have been with Dr. Spitler for about 11 years and I am so glad I found her! Dr. Spitler is down to earth and easy to talk to. If I don't understand something she takes time and explains. I never feel rushed with her.

Dr Spitler has been my primary care doctor for several years, and I am extremely happy with the service she has provided. Dr Spitler arranges her daily schedule to ensure she leaves some time available for urgent care appointments which means in many instances same day appointments. I feel that she takes the time during every one of my visits to discuss my health concerns and explain tests or test results she may have ordered. She is always extremely thorough and I know I can trust her implicitly with my healthcare.
