As part of Red Oak Recovery, Foothills at Red Oak Recovery serves an essential role in our mission to help men and women create recovery from their addictions. Foothills at Red Oak, a men’s-only treatment center for young adults, allows us to offer treatment programs specifically catered to young men’s issues. Through our specialized facilities, our team can continue to redefine the clinical experience for those in need. At Foothills at Red Oak Recovery, we work with individuals between the ages of 14 to 17 who struggle with a wide range of problems. From substance use, and co-occurring issues, to gaming addiction, we understand the unique challenges this age group faces. Young men face pressure in school, stress over their future, and the anxiety of dealing with their peers. We know how the mind of a teen works and what treatment will help. Instead of approaching treatment as if they’re adults, we use wellness programs that are age-appropriate for our clients.Our facility is on a …sprawling 94-acre horse farm in Ellenboro, North Carolina, and plays an integral part in the healing process. By removing ourselves from the hustle and bustle of their regular routine, we provide teens with a calm, welcoming environment where they’ll feel comfortable and safe. Of equal importance is helping families understand how to lead with values-based parenting. Therapeutic assignments at Foothills at Red Oak Recovery are designed to empower young men and families to explore, define, and understand their values. When adolescents understand the values that are important to them, they will better understand their thoughts, feelings, motivations, and actions. When families understand the values that are important to them, they are able to move past reactive parenting and embrace value-centered parenting.
