Dr. Forrest Pendleton Allen, DO

I’ve been seeing Dr Allen for 2 years for my knee pain. He has the absolute best bedside manner. He is empathetic and compassionate. My husband now sees him for his back and I can tell you this, we would follow him to the moon. Highly highly recommend Dr Allen.

I went to Dr. Allen for severe back pain. I went through three different types of procedures for pain management. Only after the third procedure did I get some semblance of relief but still need more. When I first went to Dr. Allen, I did not realize he was not a surgeon or medical doctor and was limited in what he could do, this was my fault for not doing my research. After my third procedure, two days after the procedure I was in severe pain. I called his office on two consecutive days to let them know about my pain, but never received a call back. This is unacceptable in the medical profession. I felt abandoned.Although Dr. Allen has a good personality, he concerned me greatly on my 10 day postop visit by making the statement he couldn’t remember which side of my back he was unable to treat as much as the other side during my procedure. After not receiving a callback for postop pain and statement about not remembering which side of my back he was unable to treat as much as the… other during my procedure, I lost all confidence in Dr. Allen and have moved on to a medical Doctor who has many more treatment options available. I would recommend considering going straight to a medical doctor before going to a Doctor of osteopathic medicine.

Awesome. Takes the time to show his patients the X-rays and explain what they mean. Saved me from a surgery that another Doctor stated there was no other option.

I saw Dr. Allen in 2021 for excruciating back pain. I am 34 and was diagnosed with arthritis, SI joint disfunction, and a bulging disc. I have two young children and it was so hard not being able to be active with them. I could barely stand for an hour to make a meal without being debilitated for the rest of the day. Dr. Allen listens and tries to think of all of the best and most conservative ways to treat. Thanks to his course of treatment, I have been pain free for a whole year and have been able to start running and exercising normally again. And I can finally keep up with my kiddos. I highly recommend Dr. Allen.
