Dr. Francis Thomas Ferraro, MD

We met with Dr. Ferraro and immediately knew he was the surgeon we needed. My husband had quite extensive lumbar decompression, laminectomies, fusion and hardware implantation. In 10 days he was pain free (pre op pain was gone in a day). Dr. Ferraro told us what to expect (and his staff were so patient and encouraging)—and everything went amazingly well—including results! Highly recommend Dr. Ferraro and his team. Very skilled surgeon.

Had four fusions in severe pain after. Did not see Dr Ferraro till last visit to tell me he was leaving for Johnstown. Saw PA during follow-up visits. Kept telling me took time to heal. Saw Dr Bonarti who first visit saw something wrong immediately. Had another fusion and correction of misaligned screw which caused permanent left leg pain and permanent numbness my right inner leg from first surgery. Bad experiance all round with him. Very bad experiance.

Dr.Ferraro is a wonderful surgeon that operated on my lower back, now i am pain free !!

He promised, yes promised that I would be up and around in less then two weeks. Years later, can't turn my neck, can't sleep with out massive pain from laying on a pillow. Where are the excellent reviews coming from?

Dr Ferraro did spinal fusion surgery on my lower back. I am pain free for the first time in years. I highly recommend him for any surgical procedures you need.

Dr. Ferraro is an excellent Doctor and Surgeon. After reviewing my MRI, he explained exactly my problem and what it would take to solve the issue. Dr. Ferraro performed the surgery and the results are exactly what he said they would be. The pain is gone and I'm currently having Pysical Therapy which is goingvery well. I am totally satisfied would Dr. Ferraro.

I had a back injury in 1986 from a horse riding accident and have experienced debilitating pain/treatments/meds on and off since then. Dr. Ferraro performed a spinal fusion of L4,5,and S1 and did an excellent job as did the nurses and doctors at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The most important part was the comprehensive instructions they gave me to assist myself in the best possible results from this surgery. I am doing just as I was told and I feel my prospects for a wonderful recovery are in sight. No pain in my legs, just an achy back when I have a long day, but I still rest and do not bend, twist , lift or stretch. After 8 weeks everyone is amazed at the change they see in me now that I am not constantly in pain. This was my last chance and I am glad that I prayerfully accepted it.

Dr. Ferraro and his office staff are fantastic. They were attentive before and after my back surgery - which was a complete success. I am back to feeling healthy and strong. I am lifting weights and running. I am healthy and strong again. I would highly recommend Dr. Ferraro.
