Dr. McGuigan is wonderful! I had a damaged achilles tendon and was no longer able to run and it was incredibly painful to walk. Dr. McGuigan operated on my achilles and I am just over 6 months out of surgery and am running again. I found him to be kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. I would return to him in a minute! He didn’t pay attention to what I said was the primary source of pain and did not address it. The surgery he did not solve the problem and I need another surgery. He dismissed my question about continuing pain. I think most people have better outcomes but I am very disappointed and back at square one with another doctor. He is expert but he didn’t fix my foot. The practice is impenetrable and he is sometimes surly and rushed. I lost weeks of work and now need another surgery. I have bad luck because I know he is better than this.

Dr. McGuigan was very nice and patient with all of my questions and concerns. He explained my sons diagnosis and treatment. I am very pleased.

Were it not for Dr. McGuigan, my husband would not have two legs. We will forever be grateful. When I saw a journal article with photos and his treatment of war-injured legs, I was optimistic that he could work miracles and he did, indeed.

I went to Dr. McGuigan for a knee arthroscopy and I could not have had a better experience. He was thorough, patient, and explained everything at every clinic visit. His approach was conservative and well thought out, and I truly think he made the best decisions for my knee. He did a phenomenal job operating on my knee, and my pain level is now a zero after a quick and easier than anticipated recovery with the help of PT. I am so glad I made the decision to see Dr. McGuigan and have him operate.

Dr. McGuigan is a very talented surgeon. He is also very down to earth and kind. I suffered a serious lisfranc injury resulting in plates and screws to put my foot back together. He answered all my questions, my appointments were always on time and his staff always polite. I am extremely fortunate I was referred to him and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I was having problems with my ankle for years, getting x-rays and finding nothing, as the pain got worse I had a MRI which located the injury. After being diagnosed by Dr. McGuigan my plan of care was carefully evaluated and put into place from beginning to end. Everything went like clock work from the surgery to the recovery time. I am grateful to be moving forward and staying on both feet.

Dr. McGuigan repaired my severely pronated foot. Amazing results and some pain with metal hardware later. He scheduled my surgery in 2 days as I was visiting from Europe. Not only did he do an excellent job, but made it fun. The best!

Achille's Tendon surgery - quick, fairly pain-free and efficient. Excellent patient education. As with anything these days - get educated about your condition/disease process and be prepared to engage in the process. It's your responsibility as a patient!
