Do not use this practice. First of all, you CANNOT get a live person in the phone, I repeat CANNOT!!! So if you need an appt. you have to leave a message and wait for a call back, which can take days. The well child check ups you need to schedule months in advance, then when you do, your appointment will magically disappear (I was relieved to read yelp reviews about this happening to others). If you ever need school forms, plan on driving up there to get them. If you have any billing issues you are directed to go through the office manager, who will NOT call you back, but she will continue to send you bills. I spent over 3 months trying to get her on the phone for a bunch of billing issues that were completely ignorant mistakes on their part, and she would not call me back. When the scheduling dept called to confirm a well child check up for one of my children, I spoke up and asked to please speak with someone of authority. The "scheduler" let me know that wasn't her job, got her "I… don't care attitude" and was not concerned in the least about the service she was giving me. On more than one occasion I kindly let the providers know during appointments that I really like the providers there, but that the front office staff is terrible and the operational part of their practice is not friendly. They could care less, they get voted best of Gwinnett every year. Which btw is just a popularity contest, it means nothing. Run far away from this practice unless you are up for bad customer service and taking your children to the ER if they are sick. Worst pediatrician around.

I have been taking my kids to Dr. Messick for about a year since I transferred here after a very bad experience with another doctor in the area. Dr. Messick immediately got my son's ashtma under control and takes the time to explain what and why he needs to take any medication prescribed. Also, remembers each patient and any issues that might be of concern which makes a difference to me and my family.

he is awesome. Very accurate diagnosis. I can easily say he is one of the BEST doctors in the lawrenceville area.Thank god for doctors like him!!!

My kids have seen Dr. Messick for several years now and I have never had anything but a positive experience. He really takes time to listen to what the parent has to say, gets on the kids level to make them comfortable, and he has a terrific staff which makes a HUGE difference. Dr. Messick is nothing but an awesome Dr.!

I have taken my children to see Dr. Messick since 2002. He is awesome! He takes his time with our family and is always thorough in his evaluations of them. He has taken care of my children through asthma, pneumonia, colds, coughs, and everything in between. I highly recommend PAL.

I had a very bad experience with this doctor. I had taken my child for checkup and he prescribed a very strong medicine. Thanks goodness I got my child checked up by another doctor and Dr. Messcik had misdiagnosed her. My main grouse is giving strong medicines to little kids without proper checkup can have such a BAD affect. I have only one question to ask this doctor...would he have done the same thing with his children?
