Dr. Francis R. Weiner, MD, FACG

Dr. Weiner appears to be very knowledgeable, but his bedside manners were lacking. During my first experience with him he was very abrupt and was complaining that he was overbooked. He confused me with another patient and thought I was there for a colonoscopy, and when I told him I was there for stomach pains, he threw up his hands and said, "I don't do stomach pains, I only do colonoscopies." When offering some background about my ailment, he cut me off and was very short, stating he did not ask for background and I can provide it when he does. As the visit continued he soften up a bit, and subsequent visits were better since I knew what to expect. With all this being said, I have to repeat, the doctor was very knowledgeable.

I love this doctor, very caring and he always follows up on his patient.

There's always a long wait time (30 - 90 Mins.) before seeing Dr. Weiner. Last procedure Dr. Weiner did, he didn't even show up after I woke up. Needs to work on his social skills.....!

While it appears that Dr. Weiner may be knowledgeable in his area of medicine, my office visits...which were many, were spent waiting 1 hour or more before seeing him for a 15 minute consult. He presents very busy and anxious to move on to the next patient. Once I was asked a question and upon responding, he asked if I could be quick because he had to get to the hospital for scheduled surgeries. My time was important as well, especially after having had waited for over an hour to see him.

When you call on the phone, you are are on hold for least 10 minutes. One person apologized a amle, the other, female was nonchalant and response was "ok" with no apology for holding. Need more considerate front desk staff and staff that answers the phone

Dr Weiner cares about his patients. I Like the fact that he talks to us after the procedure and explains everything.

Dr. Weiner is a caring and compassionate physician. He always explains what he is going to do prior to any procedure, and makes his patients feel as comfortable as possible. He made a very frightening experience alot less scary. I would recommend him highly!
