Dr. Francisco J Mayorquin, MD

I have known Dr. Mayorquin for over 18 years and would go to no one else. He has been a supervisory doctor in 7 areas of expertise. He is fast with knowing your difficulties and works hard to help cure the illness In everyone. Born in Cuba, this American physician, is proficient in spanish, which I never knew until he spoke to another patient. Dr. Mayorquin is a man of heart and care and I would advise anyone to see him without reservation. He has gotten me into the office the day I have called or soon thereafter if I needed to be seen. Went to see him for a number of symptoms I have. I got a routine physical and an antibiotic and was sent on my way. If all I needed was lab work and an antibiotic I could have gone to the minute clinic. Will never return. DOES NOT LISTEN.

His staff is very professional, yet friendly and personable. Dr. Mayorquin is an extremely good doctor. He genuinely cares about his patients. I have never had any complaints about this doctor.

I recently took my mother to see Dr. Mayorquin for a problem she had been having with major depression and anxiety. I went with her so that i could relay to the good doctor a thourough and accurate medical history of problems she had in the past with depression. I will back up a little...first we waited about 1hour and half before seeing the doctor. When he did appear, he brought in a resident and didnt even ask if it was ok with us that he(resident) sit in. I didnt mind, I just know permission is to be given from the patient for this to happen. would have been nice to have been asked. I was providing the Dr. with my moms PMH of symptoms she was currently exhibiting when I was rudely interrupted by him. He said "that was 10 years ago, that has nothing to do with right now." WHAT!!!!! Since when does a pts PMH not matter to a current and similar problem? I was stunned. Then he proceeded to be in a hurry, appeared agitated that we even came to him with this problem. My mother… has been seeing him for at least 5 years, but this was a new problem she was having and he just kept asking about her blood pressure, which was fine. Anyway, he proceeded to tell us that he thought she may have early onset Alzheimers and wanted us to see a neurologist. Totally scared my mom to death..to make a long story short, we did as he suggested. Had a long and wait to see a neuro., unnecessary tests, money, waiting and more anxiety for my mom. Thank God she has no neuro., dementia problems. She needed a psychiatrist the whole time and meds for her depression, anxiety. So without any help from Dr. Maryquoin, myself and my family got my mom to the right doctors..She is better, but could have been treated for this way sooner if the dr. Maryquion had not jumped to conclusions and LISTENED!!! We wont be back.
